I had previously ordered a screen from another seller, and after installing the screen, it fluctuated by dimming and then going back to normal repeatedly. After ordering this screen, and installing it works perfectly with no issues and no complaints.

I had to get a new screen because of flexgate and wasn’t going to start soldering new wires together. I just installed it and it works well so far. Was pretty self explanatory with swapping out the old screen with the new one, which is good because it does not come with an installation guide. Looks just like the original screen.

This is a great product for a quick and easy screen replacement. If you own the variety of MacBooks that this fits it’s a great replacement! If I could give a half star I would have done 4.5 instead, cause it does come with the tools to perform the replacement, however if you’ve bought more than one of these you automatically get another set of tools. I had a set of tools needed for this repair before buying this and now I have like 4 different sets of tools due to my hapless friend who keeps breaking her screen. I fear in the future I’ll end up with even more as I continue to repeat this repair for her.My suggestion for this would be to offer an option at like $5 less without the tools.

Display quality is great. Install is typical Apple with a ton of unnecessary star screws. The included tool set strips real easily, so i do recommend a decent set of tools. The hinge pops when opening now but the screen functions as advertised.

This is my second replacement screen. I had bought a new macbook pro in 2018 from a discount reseller. The machine was fine but the screen had some pixel flaws (bright pixels visible on a dark screen). I thought that it didn't bother me much since I paid nearly $400 below standard retail. Last year I stepped on the screen and killed it. I received an Amazon replacement from some vendor in China and that screen was ok but started degrading soon. I think it was the cables that could not withstand the opening and closing. Some zones at the bottom of the screen started dimming and finally extiguished until the whole screen went out. I had paid about 280 bucks for that shortlived fiasco.This newest one cost me $100 more and it is absolutely perfect and bright and... the cables did fit in perfectly too so the installation was fast.

Screen only lasted 11 months then went completely blank and is no longer functioning. It took 1.5 hours to replace. I expected it to last longer for the priced and amount of work it took to replace. Definitely would not purchase this if I knew the component had such a short lifetime.

This display fit well and wasn't too bad to install, just be prepare on a A1706 there are a lot of very tiny screws. The screen works and looks nice (near OEM).Cons:There is no Ambient Light sensor and no way to adjust the brightness (which is a big negative for me)The tools that are included are junk, one of the bits stripped on removing the 3rd screw (spend $12 and get a good set of tools)
