Moisturizing - But Strong Lavender Scent
I assumed a turmeric mask would be pigmented yellow or orange, but this is very pale and thin consistency, like a moisturizer. It smells super strongly of lavender.PROS: moisturizing, contains really great humectant glycerin to draw moisture into the skin. Also contains beneficial ingredients like sea buckthorn, gluconolactate, and turmeric extract. Lots or fatty acids to repair skin and hydrate.CONS: highly fragranced, the ingredients Lavander oil and linaloon (a reactive fragrance compound from lavender) plus eraniol (geranium extract) and isoeugenol (ylang ylang fragrance extract) make it highly fragranced and potentially reactive. Unfortunate because lavender is only added for francrance and could cause a rash/reaction and has no benefit for the skin.I will keep it but not reorder in the future. I wouldn't get it if you have sensitive skin or fragrance allergy.

Meh
It’s a bit harsh. The formula seems off.

Nice results at a nice price
I wasn't expecting much from this mask, especially at this price, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I've been using this every other day for two weeks, applying to my whole face for twenty minutes and then rinsing with warm water. I have dry skin anyway, but with the heat on in the house my skin is ridiculously dry and papery. This mask works wonderfully to soften and moisturize my skin so my night cream doesn't have to work as hard. The mask is a thin cream, pale yellow, and smells faintly of turmeric (nice and earthy but not at all overpowering). The mask dries to a matte finish and there is no staining from the turmeric (if not for the smell, I would not even believe there was turmeric in it), so you can go about your business with it on your face and not scare anyone. I have gotten busy with it on and forgotten for an hour, to no bad effects at all. It rinses off easily with water. My forehead and my cheeks are my real problem areas, and while my cheeks improve only partially even with the most expensive moisturizers, this mask has helped my forehead immeasurably (and helped my cheeks somewhat). I have sensitive skin as well, and this mask is so soothing it's almost addictive to use.For the price, this mask delivers impressive results. You can wear it in public if necessary, it has a subtle and pleasant scent, and the vegan/cruelty free designation is an added bonus. Try it-- you will be pleasantly surprised.

Goes on like lotion - dries like a peel - rinses like a foam
This mask is pretty interesting. It has a light fresh scent - not perfumey or anything. It resembles a thick lotion. It goes on your face like a thick lotion. I actually thought it was going to stay moist and then rinse away like some other masks. But this dried - almost felt like there was a dried facial peel on my face. Felt slightly tight. It sort of got foamy and soapy-like when trying to wash off. It was like three different forms of a face mask! : ) Washing off was the hardest part - but not too bad at all. Afterwards my face felt clean yet soft. I didn't apply moisturizer and went to bed. I awoke with a super soft face. The only weird thing is that the directions say to wash and TONE prior to using the mask. To me - that seems weird. I like to tone after all skin routines other than moisturizer. Seems wasteful to tone and then mask - unless the goal is to remove make-up and stuff so your mask goes on as clean a face as possible.?.?.LOVE that this product is clearly marked VEGAN - awesome!
