THIS IS NOT A LIFE JACKET, IT'S A...
...Buoyancy Aid! the two are very different! The below is from the RNLI Website..."Buoyancy aids at level 50 are recommended for use by swimmers in sheltered waters or by those doing watersports where help is close at hand. However, they do not have sufficient buoyancy to protect a person who is unable to help themselves. They are not designed to turn a person from a face-down position in the water"...Luckily for us we only use it for Kayaking in the river and our kids can swim, but it is misleading (hence the 2 stars) as it is advertised as Life Jacket when it isn't, it's a serious matter that could have serious consequences for those who cannot swim.Price wise we got the kids one at £15 and the adults at £26 so cannot complain, they are comfy and lightweight. This is not for open water, ensure you buy the correct flotation aid for the correct application.

an excellent lifejacket
I purchased the "90kg+" size, and it fits me perfectly. A few of my friends have also tried it, and - after adjusting the straps - it fits them to. As such, this size is suitable for anyone with a chest 44"-54" and a waist 36"-46".This is a lightweight item and - suitably adjusted - fits snuggly. It has one buckle (which clicks into place) and two laces, which fasten the front. I found this easy to put on, comfortable to wear, and capable of keeping me buoyant. As I weight 100kg (220lb), this is an effective jacket.I used this while boating in the Lake District. I can recommend it for use on relatively calm waters.

Excellent purchase
Reveiwing Helly Hansen Sport II Buoyancy Aid. Very pleased to find a budget priced life vest from such a reputable company. I use it for SUP. The bottom cord can be tightened and there's one buckle across the middle which can also be tightened. Make sure not to buy it too big. I'm a small adult, 155cm tall, 86cm chest weighing 47kg, I bought size XS which is probably a childs size and it's perfect. I suggest using the size chart in the image, not the link.

Perfect for our sup
My son loves this! I though he would be reluctant to wear it but he was over the moon as "it looks like body armour"He's 125cm tall and fits great and will probably give 2-3 years growth. This is as it says, a buoyancy aid, so designed for light use and to help float and has equal buoyancy front and rear - perfect to allow your child to swim.If you want a life vest/jacket (which have additional buoyancy at the front, to flip you over onto your back, to avoid drowning) then this isn't the right product for you.For our usage, paddle board, it's perfect!!!

Budget buoyancy aid that cuts a few corners
This is comfortable and allows movement, but it isn't very well fastened. I made the mistake of assuming that it would zip together, but it doesn't: it relies on two tie cords and a single buckle. This is pretty useless for activities where you're likely to be in the water: you stand no chance of tightening the cords with wet hands. Buoyancy aids are important, so I'd recommend buying something better than this. Preferably one with more adjustment, so you can be confident it won't come off or ride up in the water.
