I've used Gu gel packs for years as a cyclist - and they do their thing. Thing is with the gel - you sacrifice enjoyment for super energy and fast pick up. We needed something for a big time hiking trip out west - something more enjoyable - less utilitarian - but still with quick-ish energy, so I took a chance on these and could not be more satisfied. Over a six hour hike in Yosemite I ate MANY of these. The single foil pack means you can eat one at a time. The small size is imminently packable (purse, backpack, messenger back etc...). The texture has a slight "crunch" to it - really, more like a slight CRISP - which is really pleasant. Despite the purpose driven aspect to them - quick calories when you need 'em - THESE ARE TASTY. No nasty overly-sweet taste - I'd eat these during a normal business day between meetings just to keep energy up. I would re-buy these without hesitation and really enjoy them at the same time. Get 'em - you'll enjoy 'em. OH YEAH - and they'll give you the quick replacement energy you need.

I am a runner and have used Stinger brand for some time. I saw these in my runner magazine, they pictured them topped with peanut butter and jelly as pre run fuel which looked delish! Received them and the first 3 out of this box were so stale I couldn't chew them and had to toss them out. The last couple seem better and the one I pulled from the bottom of the box a little easier to chew. The expiration is August 2017, so it wasn't the date, not sure why some were so hard to chew and others in same package were not. I will check out Trader Joe's version too as it was mentioned in the reviews they are freshly packaged and half the price.

I love these waffles, but my package came in a bag and they were all smashed up. They keep their general shape but became crumbly. I love the product, didn't love he delivery.

Nothing better than a Chocolate stroopwafel warmed in the back pocket of a jersey. Oh wait… I actually like their Caramel even more.

I ordered a box of 16 and paid for a box of 16. I received a single stroopwafel. Would be amusing if it wasn’t so annoying.

I tried these on a whim and they're now a staple for me. Super easy to open and eat while running, delicious, not too sweet, and they do the job.
