Terrible clock!
I bought one of these "jump clocks" for my grand daughter. This item was made in China, not unusual today, the instructions were very difficult to follow and at times not correct. The clock itself will not keep proper time (hours of the day) and it changes from 12 to 24 hour time. I set the correct time five times only to return several hours later to find the clock time was totally wrong and never the same hours or minutes off. I finally gave up and threw it in the trash.

Disappointing alarm clock
It works as a clock and alarm, but forget about jumping and lighting. Bought 2 and none of them worked.I understand how it works, and check all to make sure there was no mistake of mine during the process.

Its not very loud
Bought it for my daughter. I was surprised it did not get any louder. But it did make of for that in the jumping and bouncing around with the lights.

Bouncy clock
Arrived on time and in good shape but I have not opened it yet so not sure how I like the clock yet.

Daughter loves this clock.
My 9yr old daughter loves this clock. It jumps all over, has spinning led lights and has a (repetitive) pop-song sound to it. The alarm worked the first morning she tried it and it displays the time (12 or 24 hour style) the date and the room temperature. The only part I had any trouble with was that it did not come with any instructions to set it up, so for those that buy one, I hope this helps:The 5 tabs around the clock flip out to 'unlock' the top of the clock, a strong flick of your thumb should get them off, I'd avoid using any tools since they are plastic. Once the top is off there are two main parts inside, the clock itself with a slide-off battery compartment that takes 2 AAAs, and a middle part with a metal bar with a spring around it on one side and a plastic rectangle on the other side. The first part is pretty obvious, just slide off the lid and put in 2 AAAs. The middle part came out the first time I opened it and I had thought it was broken, but it is designed to come out, so don't worry if it does. The top lid of this middle part has two pressure clamps on the top and a pressure hook on one side, to open this I ended up using pliers to squeeze the top clamps while pressing on the side clamp with my thumb, this worked without too much effort, and I was trying to be careful and not break the plastic clamps. Once you have this open there is a round center area covered in plastic and four battery 'wells' in the corners. Put 4 AA batteries in the wells, then put the lid back on. Next put the bar with the spring back into the center hole on the clock face part and slide the smaller end of the plastic rectangle back into the groove on the outer edge. The bar will activate the motion/lights if it touches the thin metal bar on the clock face part, so it might take a few tries to get it back in correctly. After that just put the outer lid back on and snap it shut. The only odd part with the time on the clock was that I couldn't get it to switch to 12 hour time until I had the AA batteries in the motion part inside, after that it was fine. My daughter gives it 5 stars, but I took one off due to the effort needed to get it working without printed instructions. Good luck.

Doesn't Work
The clock was still in the box when I received it, and it looked like it was brand new. I opened it up and put batteries in the clock and in the motor. The clock and alarm worked fine, however, the motor that moves the clock around and makes it light up did not work. After inspecting it further, it seems that it's missing a piece to fully connect the circuits. Would have been a promising buy if it functioned properly.

cute alarm not sure what the fuss is in other reviews
I just got this alarm clock today. I purchased the blue one from kmart because it looked cute, and I like singing alarms rather than the beeping ones. After opening it, I had no trouble getting the batteries into both battery packs (it has one for the motor and one for the clock). I had no problems with any screws because there aren't any,it is simply a peg an a hole for the motor to spin on. When I tested it the thing cutely sang, lit up, and bounced like it was supposed to. I think some people expect this thing to bounce at least 12 inches when it in reality does about an inch high. Some other features that it includes is date, 24 hour time, and temperature display (both C and F).I personally like everything about this alarm except one thing. It is not very loud and has no volume control, so thus four stars rather than five.

Briefly amusing as a toy, but impractical as an alarm clock
If you can interpret the breathtakingly confusing instructions and miniaturised diagrams, and have a selection of small tools with which to release the multitude of catches and clips, and are blessed with slim and agile fingers, you may be able to work your way into the bowels of this device and insert the SIX batteries - four AA's in a rotating plastic cage, and two AAA's in a separate compartment hidden behind the rotating cage - then reassemble the contraption and set the time and date. Before you try, though, be aware that the manufacturers have added an extra little twist, just to make the process even more challenging and entertaining. The compartment holding the AAA batteries has a sliding lid, on which is printed the word OPEN, with an arrow to show you which way to slide it. If you are lucky, or have a skewed mindset (or have read my review), you will work out that this arrow points 180 degrees in the wrong direction BEFORE you either break the lid or throw the clock in the bin.Although, to my considerable satisfaction, I did eventually successfully complete all of the above without breaking anything, I would NOT recommend it as a calming exercise on a birthday or Christmas Day morning.Once assembled, the clock can be tested by pressing a red `test' button - whereupon the wretched thing leaps about like an over-hyped dervish, flashing multi-coloured lights and generally making loud noises. There is a `stop' button, but that would be of little comfort in real life as (a) the clock would have leapt off the bedside table before you could reach it and (b) the `stop' button is one of a row of identical tiny buttons along the face of the clock, and I doubt very much that anyone would be able to identify any of them by feel first thing in the morning. The instructions claim that the clock ceases its manic gyrations after a minute, but I suspect most people would have dropped it in a bucket of water long before then. We discovered that you can also stop it by picking it up and holding it absolutely still - the overload on the rotating battery cage switches it off. As far as I can tell, there is no option to use the clock as a `normal' alarm clock. To be fair, our smallest grandchildren did find the antics of this pink grenade amusing. They can't tell the time, but they did enjoy pressing the red button - time and time and time again. In summary: briefly amusing as a toy, but - even for those who successfully complete the complex assembly process - impractical as an alarm clock.
