California Costumes Women's Snow White Costume

Great value. I wasn't expecting much for $20ish, but this costume was worth at least $40 :P I am 5'2" and about 130 lbs and I bought a medium. The bodice was loose, so I sewed 4 of those little plastic rings that can be found with the crochet hooks down each side of the back (about 2 inches from the side seam at the waist and 3 inches from the seam at the armpit with the other two in a line between so they are parallel when pulled. See picture.)and threaded a red ribbon through to cinch the bodice a little bit. other than that the costume was perfect. I am glad I bought a medium and not a small, because it would have been too short with heels.

I wanted a traditional Snow White costume, not a slutty/sexy one, to turn into Zombie Snow White. This did the job perfectly.The costume itself, arrived quickly and when it was expected.As far as the way it fit. it fit ok, but it was a tad loose. It was kinda wide. I made it work, but if you are any smaller than me (I am 5'6, 118 lbs., slender, and not too much in the booty and boobs department!lol), you might consider going with the size Extra Small. I ordered a size small for my self. It was the perfect length.As I said before, I turned this into Zombie Snow White, and both nights that I wore it, I was a huge hit!! The first time I wore it was for the local Zombie Walk, I won!! I am "Las Cruces, NM Zombie Queen 2014"!! There was a long line to take pictures with me and everything! I was even on the front page of the news paper!The second time I wore it was to a local night club and I stole the show there too!I used a hot glue gun to keep the white collar attached. I shredded the skirt, got it dirty, and added my own home made fake blood. Then I used the hot glue gun again, to add some fake spiders for the finishing touch. The ribbon I got with this costume was kind of a joke, so I went to Walmart and spent $2 and got a little spool of red ribbon. I tied a long piece around my head and after I got the bow just right, I trimmed the ends and added fake blood to it too. I did all the make up and stuff myself too. The fake wounds are tissue paper and glue, with make up and fake blood. I did not use a wig, as I already have the perfect hair for this look. Also the yellow skirt is see through. I wore a poofy white cotton skirt underneath it.I'll be sure to include pictures.

Y'all, I NEVER leave product reviews, but due to the volume of compliments I got wearing this costume I felt I had to make an exception. This costume was comfortable, adorable, and the collar stood up perfectly! The skirt, as others have mentioned, is rather sheer so be sure to wear appropriate underthings (meaning no colors or patterns). I wore white tights but you can go one better and do white tights under white leggings, if the weather is cold where you live. Anyway, white tights and some black ballet flats were all I needed to add. The ribbon provided for the hair is fine, but I already owned a red headband so I used it instead. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this costume and highly recommend it. It even fits slightly looser than necessary, so you can go down a size if you're on the fence. I am 5'4" and usually wear a 8/10 in dresses so got the medium...I think I could've gotten the small and it would've been even better, but honestly it was just fine. This dress is EASILY worth double the $18 I paid for it. Buy it, you won't regret it. :) Hope you enjoy your Snow White moment!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I received my costume because I figured it would be really cheap material and my body is so awkward I was worried about ripping it however the material is very stretchy on top and very flattering. The sizes runs a little big but that worked out for me. The package said it was a 10/12 large and I was expecting a 12/14 but it fits perfectly and comfortably. The bottom is a brighter yellow then expected but is sheer so wear an under skirt or leggings. I'm 5'5 and 180lbs and I ordered large. Will try to post pictures later! Hope this helped

Although I was a little disappointed as CA Costumes are usually really great, I was satisfied with this purchase.The base material was not the usual for CA was lesser quality than I expected. The bodice is velveteen like material. The neckline is stretchy and the collar is detached and ties on (a little disconnect when put together). This will definitely have to be steamed for the wrinkles to fall out. The stated measurements fit well. My biggest disappointment were that the sleeves were very tight. Good overall costume and definitely at the price.I also bought the wig. Staff is doing Snow White and dwarfs.

Really not bad for the price. The bodice is quite stretchy, but the elastic in the armpit area is pretty tight. The skirt is definitely sheer (as mentioned in other reviews), and the neckline may need to be pinned to keep it from being too revealing. I am a teacher, so some modifications had to be made for modesty and comfort, but I could not have made this myself for cheaper than what I paid here. Also, this costume will last a few more Halloweens, so it was a good buy in my book.

The skirt was a poor material and to be swapped out. The bodice was sewn together improperly, the sleeve caps (blue on either side of the collar on top of the shoulder) were sewn on the inside. The "sleeve puffs?" had way to much fabric so were swappped out for the correct color and fit. To make it lay properly, the new skirt was a seperate item held on with snaps. Added craft foam inside the collar to make it stand up properly. The hair ribbon was flimsy fabric and was later swapped out for a red hair bow from a local Claires shop later (not pictured). Pictures are of just out of the box (seen with red and yellow upper sleeves), and the costume as finished.

Was a little disappointed with some of the stitch work on the sleeves. Also the Collar looked like it stands up to form a fan, but it kept flopping down. Thought it needed to be much stiffer to stay up right.

needed lots of ironing -MAKE SURE YOU IRON IT WITH A TOWEL!!!- but great buy, much better than expected

Liked this costume, only down side was there is a gap between the collar and the dress at the back. I ordered a temporary tattoo to fill the gap!! Comfy outfit.

I'm a size 12/14 and this was plenty big enough. Had to mend parts of it as they were not stitched properly. Collar would not stand up, needs stiffening!

Disappointed, parts of the costume need repairing before I even wear it.

Bought this for a work Christmas party, costume fit very well, the skirt is quite see through though so had to wear leggings underneath! All in all good value for money and to top if off my this won costume of the night!

excellent value. ordered well in advance of needing it in case it wasn't up to much and i had to order something else. didn't need to as it was just what I wanted

Great looking costume, skirt is see through so got to wear something underneath, it's also made of that icky fabric that gets static really quickly but overall I'm pleased with it!

Good for the price. Faster delivery that expected. However, it is slightly freyed and as I need it at the weekend cannot send it back for replacement.

Looked exactly as it did in the picture. I felt the 'skirt' was a bit see-through so wore a slip underneath. Perfect for the fairytale dressing up day at my son's school.

This was an amazing costume, I am glad I read the reviews and decided to purchase it.It was adorable in person, and everyone I walked by me and absolutely loved this costume. Fits very well!I wore this all day and it never became uncomfortable. Nothing itchy about it.The red cape was bought separately in the picture I have posted.It did come with a red hair ribbon.

I was worried after reading many reviews about the sizing of this costume. Some said it fit large, while others said it fit to size. I normally take size 10-12 in pants, and the large fit perfectly. I am 5'7, 160lbs. The length of the dress is right to my ankles, flat shoes are my preference and they will be perfect. I only gave 4 stars because the costume is extremely wrinkled right out of the bag, it will definitely need an iron. Also, the 'hair band' is just a piece of red ribbon. Yes, the bottom is a bit see-through, so I'll wear a slip, it's not a big deal.
