Never ending problems
Since i bought i have been suffering of incredible loud noise of fan , disk errors, system low temperature errors. So frustrating not to be able access 10 years of data

Disappointed
It has security flaws with latest build of windows 10. You cannot access secured folder of EX4100 with Windows 10 latest build. It also caused bad sector on bootable nand drive after 2 months. Wd support is very poor, even after 3 weeks they are unable to provide me a solution.

Excellent product, bought with some trepidation as I am not an IT guru. Also purchased 4 x 4TB WD Red disks which fitted without issues. This unit is sturdily built using mainly sheet metal and once fitted with disks weighs a significant amount. Shouldn't have worried about the set-up as using the UI and My Cloud software made setting the RAID configuration and loading my files very easy. Now running as a home NAS with several TB's of Movies plus more TB's of photo's and music all served up to my Amazon Fire TV using the Plex media server. Usage to date (2wks): so far has proven unobtrusive, fast, reliable and quiet.

Ich habe das NAS vor allem wegen der 24 TB Speicherplatz gekauft. Performance spielte bei der Kaufentscheidung keine Rolle. zum Beispiel hat das Gerät keinen 2,5 GBit Anschluß, was für mich aber nicht relevant war. Das Gerät macht einen wertigen Eindruck und die Installation war in 10 Minuten erledigt. Alle Mac Systeme im Netz nutzen das NAS nun als Time Machine Laufwerk. Backup erfolgt auf eine externe Festplatte via USB 3. Die Laufwerke machen Geräusche. Das sollte man wissen. Wer das vermeiden möchte muss unweigerlich auf (wesentlich teurere) SSD zurück greifen.
