Beautiful piece but extremely difficult to assemble
Prior to arrival, I read the mixed reviews on the assembly process. Because I consider myself fairly handy and can assemble almost anything, I decided to give it a try. The instructions say that they recommend two people, and I would highly second that. Without going into detail, I will just say that after 3 failed attempts & having to take the entire project apart on 3 separate occasions to start all over again, I am happy with the end result. Overall, I spent approximately 8 painstaking hours putting this together, & probably should have just paid my handyman. The instructions are not exactly clear, and the worst part was trying to fit the top on at the end. It is extremely heavy and not all of the pegs and the screws line up perfectly. I ended up purchasing a rubber mallet, put a sock over it to prevent scratching the beautiful wood top, and basically beat the top down into place. By the end of this project, I was in tears and almost gave up, but glad I persevered. Unless you are a try handyman, please use caution before you decide to tackle this by yourself like I did.

Easy to Install, great unit
Bought this for our closet as a folding station and storage. Great shape and quality. Easy to assemble. Now also using as a baby changing station. Perfect height. Good value for money. Color nice in our white closet.

Okay for what it is
It’s under $200 so it’s not going to be a family heirloom, realistic expectations. Yes it’s a pain to put together, yes some of the pieces are exactly flush but they are tight enough. It is particle board and opening the box made a mess because there was particle board dust all over.I purchased this for my art studio so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on something that will end up with paint on it. If it was for my kitchen or something I would have ended up sending it back as one piece was significantly chipped.I don’t know how long it will last but for now it will do the job. (PS I would have gladly paid more for the same product but higher quality)

Requires patience and persistence but worth it
Love the look of this island and how sturdy it is. The assembling process took about 2 and a half hours and I, a 21 year old female, put it together alone. Could’ve probably done it in half the time had I had a helper. Lots of pieces but easy instructions and if I can put this together alone then just about everyone can, you just have to have the patience to put two hours into it lol. Overall very happy with this, hopefully it holds up well.

Unusable, Wish I took the Negative reviews seriously
I wish I had taken the negative reviews for this product more seriously, and I regret it. I have no idea how the other positive reviewers were able to put together a sturdy finished table -- perhaps they received a different product entirely?I was not able to complete assembly of the kitchen table (photos pictured) because some of the boards were warped, and the table as a whole does not fit together. See the gaps in between the planks.I also have major concerns about the design used to join the boards together: a combination of wooden pegs, cam locks, and cam dowel pins. The holes pre-cut into the particle board wood are too large for the cam dowel pins, so the cam locks and cam dowel pins are ineffective at holding the boards together and the cam dowel pins often slide right out. The wooden pegs alone not capable of holding the boards together. The table itself fell apart a few times as I was assembling the larger pieces together, and even when assembled it would easily tilt and loosen apart. I was very surprised and concerned -- I consider myself to be quite proficient at assembling furniture, and have never encountered something like this before. The seller I purchase this from was Cymax, and they gave me the option of (1) keeping the defective item as-is for a 25% discount, or (2) Asking for specific replacement parts to be shipped out. Unfortunately, due to the overall design of the table and the way it is put together, it is very difficult to identify which pieces in particular need to be corrected. New replacement pieces would also not help with fixing the way the boards are loosely attached to one another and cannot be tightened, so the whole table being very unstable would still be an issue.Hopefully the specificity of my review and the issues I encountered are useful to those considering whether to buy this table. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Easy to assemble, sturdy, big, pretty! Very happy!!!
We LOVE this!!! We bought two and put them together to make one big island. We lose out on the stool area but we store things underneath like our kitchen garbage can (plus our kids think it's a great place to hide). I put together one and my husband did the other. Idk what other people struggled with but it was easy and fun to assemble. Ours are super sturdy and don't wobble in the least. Very pleased and they look great! Super happy!!! 😁

Consider all reviews before purchasing
We're all probably looking at this product because of the price, and you definitely get what you pay for. This is a hit or miss for most folks and after reading reviews, I was prepared for this island to be of average-low quality and potentially frustrating to put together. My expectations were met.Like others, there was one board that was missing the pre-drilled holes and I had to create my own; this added a good 15 minutes to the assembly time. Despite being very organized and decent at figuring out instructions, this thing took me 1.5+ hours to assemble on my own. During and after putting it together, I noticed the particle boards bent just enough to not snuggly or seamlessly fit together. This thing needs wood glue and some vice grips.Despite all this... it serves its intended purpose and gets the job done. Does it look nice? From a distance. Am I concerned that it will continue to slowly bow itself apart? The thought has crossed my mind. Can I use it to store some pans and use as a prep station? Yes. Do I judge it every single morning I look at it? Also, yes. It's a roll of the dice. Purchase at your own risk. Hopefully you'll be lucky and get a good one.
