Frizzlife MK99 Replacement Filter Cartridge With FZ-2 Filter Cartridge Inside

I bought this because (somewhere in the documentation [can't readily find it now]) there is mention of its ability to filter out Hexavalent Chromium, which was my only concern. I’m on well water, and a test showed that my hex chromium (aka Chromium 6) content was too high. A subsequent test - with filter in place - indicated a reduction in hex chromium to an acceptable level. The only other option - to reduce hex chromium - was to purchase/install a reverse osmosis system, but that takes up a lot of space.This filter can be mounted to the back wall under the sink, resulting in a minimal loss of storage (under the cabinet). I use the cold water side of the faucet, just like normal, with a minimal loss of flow rate. It is possible to hook this to a dedicated faucet - which would be preferable - but that takes up space atop the counter. Changing out the filter, which I do every 4 months, is quick and easy, but the initial installation takes much longer than 5 minutes.If the wall you mount the bracket on (probably the BACK wall) is too thin, you’ll need to install a back board first… then install the bracket (see photo). Also, if you look closely, you’ll see that I clamped the lines to the backboard, so they wouldn’t interfere with items stored in the cabinet.

Our family has been using this water filter for over a year and we're all healthier as the pipes in our house are old - hard to replace and affects our water. Frizzlife is easy to install and use. Great that it comes through our kitchen tap. We had an issue and the company explained the problem as well as sending a new part no charge. That was great. We have switched to doing a replacement filter cartridge instead of just replacing the filter which has worked out much better. Although the cartridge is a bit more $$ than the filter alone, it lasts longer and there aren't any leak issues, difficulty getting the cartridge open to replace the filter, etc. The system is well worth it, not expensive and easy to use.

Excellent filter for kitchen faucet. The canister detached from the system easily, however, it is difficult, if not impossible to unscrew the canister to insert a new filter. The plastic wrench is too soft to turn the top section. I tried using an oil filter wrench to hold the base to facilitate unscrewing the top.

My water is disgusting. I have heavily chlorinated city water where I live, and sometimes it's so bad that my tap water smells like pool water. I have been using these filters for a few years now with no complaints. They seem to last a pretty long time and they do a great job at getting rid of the chlorine smell. I am considering getting a whole house filtration system soon though.

I have been using the Frizzlife under Sink water filter for a long time. In fact, I installed one at my church. The advantage of the filter and cartridge combination is it takes less than a minute to renew your filtration system. And, you get a proper new set of lubricated seals. I only hope our differences with China don't make it impossible to continue to get replacement parts. I have not ever found a domestic made in USA model that can beat the Frizzlife model!!
