I am a licensed hair stylist and am very conscious of heat damage, especially on highlighted hair, which all three of my teen daughters have. I was skeptical, but because they all want to curl their hair EVERY DAY, it was worth the try. It works best on thick hair when it is almost totally dry, just barely damp - with a light squirt bottle. Fine hair can be a bit wetter. If you twist hair slightly while winding, it will have a corkscrew effect. If you wind it flat, with space between the hair, it is a loose beach wave. It's nice to have variety.We've noticed the curls stay better through the day (and through dance practice and sweaty walks home) than with an iron. This is a life saver, not only for busy mornings before school, but for long term hair integrity. It's decently comfortable to sleep in and even my 11 year old can put it in by herself. Simple, easy, awesome. I'm ordering another.

Easy to use, pretty comfy even to sleep in. I tried using it on wet hair straight out of the shower, which led to too tight kinda crunchy-ish curls, then I tried using it on already dry hair that I slightly dampened like the directions say, which led to lose wavy curls but which disappeared after a few hours. My best results were when I used this after showering and *very* lightly blow dried my hair and then slept with the hair roller in overnight, which led to suuuper pretty results that held completely until I showered again.

Works well. The longer you leave it on the better. In the pic I had used a brush to make my hair damp and then used some sea salt spray and wrapped my hair. I slept on it overnight and it came out great. When I’ve tried to do it in a couple hours like the directions said it doesn’t dry and hold like it does overnight.

I have long and THICK hair. I've search my entire adult life for a heatless curler that isn't tight little ringlets that are cute on little girls. THIS IS IT. When I use this my hair is curled and bouncy and soft. I LOVE THIS and have used it 2x a week since I received it cause it is so easy, no more than 10 minutes to put it in and less than 1 to take it out. it can be used on damp or dry hair and I enjoy it both ways. My search is over. love this.

The media could not be loaded.  I have super thick hair and it’s very long. I e always hated using heat on it because I don’t want to damage my hair. It gave me exactly what I wanted. Beautiful big curls. I’m sure if I mess with the pattern of how to wrap it I can make different style curls too. Don’t second think getting this item! It’s affordable, cute, and IT WORKS. This is harder then it looks when you go to use it. That being said it does work as stated once you get the hang of it. works better if you have help.

I dampened hair lightly with a spray bottle of water, put the roller in as I watched a girl on YouTube use this product, and it only took me about five minutes to complete. Went to bed and woke up like this!!!!I will say I tried it another time with hair fresh out of the shower and still pretty wet, after sleeping on it and waking up for a few hours I took it out and my hair was still damp so it didn’t work very well that time. So make sure your hair is more of a light damp than wet. Held for 4 days after the first use which was this video I posted results of! Definitely better than using heat and faster than curling with an iron

First of all, as far as the curling effectiveness I wouldn’t know. This arrived broken so I can use it to clip to the top of my head. Second, the headband is weird. It’s two headbands connected into one? I’m going to ask for a refund.
