On the advice of my daughter who is a sound engineer for film, I purchased the noise reducting headphones to wear when I use noisy garden equipment. These headphones lower the sound of the mower, edger, and leaf vacuum and still allow me to be aware of other sounds which may alert me to danger. Although I will not need to wear these for more than an hour at a time, I am glad to be able to protect my hearing and still have a neat yard and garden.

I love taking these to concerts and wearing them in the house. They might feel weird to wear at first (like a popping sensation in your ears), however just ease into wearing them. I now have no issues with them, and I also purchased the thinner version of these for around the house usage and to sleep in. These are worth sacrificing your first newborn for and have greatly reduced sensory overwhelm for me.
