gear4music Large 3 Tier Studio Desk for Musicians and Producers with Wooden Laminate Shelves

This desk is fantastic. I was starting to struggle with the table I was using for all my gear and depending on which synths I wanted to use at any given time I was constantly unplugging synths and controllers to change the setup. Even though the main section of the desk is smaller than the table I was using the keyboard tray and the top stand allow for much better use of space. For once I can have everything connected and ready to use and I still have some free space. I have a big set of monitors, audio interface, a korg wavestate, a dfam and 2 mother 32's, two volcas, a push 2 and a keystep 37 and a few smaller pieces of gear all on the desk and there is still space underneath the shelf to stash more gear.Everything is easy to reach - one very happy dude here. Really easy to assemble thanks to the clear and easy to follow instructions.

This is the second time I've bought this desk. Got rid of my old one as I moved some time ago. So happy to have it back again. It's a centre piece.

Easy to put together, very sturdy and fits my space perfectly. Very happy, i can fit on everything i need. The only thing this desk is missing is some kind of cable management

This is very good quality and a very sturdy desk. It's also really easy to assemble. The only downsides so far are:- the working space could be a bit deeper as currently it barely fits a laptop, rack mounts are a very nice thing to have but they are taking the valuable desk space- the keyboard drawer is not high enough and won't fit all the keyboard models. I had to drill another set of holes and move it a bit down in order to fit my Komplete Kontrol

This desk is great for the price as you have a built in rack system, to rack up your equipment, that you’ll be using in this great desk. Most people use this desk for sound production. I use mine for a editing station for video editing. This works for me.Before you buy take some measurements of your room, where the desk is going to go. As I used the camera sizer on the seller’s shop. So it allows to have a virtual of the desk on your phone. So you can measure the desk in the space of your room. I tried it and it looks like it was the right size. But it was slightly out by 2 inches. As the top of the desk is longer than the desk size. I have a picture to show you, what I mean? So make sure the top of the desk has the right measurement for your room and you are good to go with your choice of desk. I hope this helps you with your choice. Thank you for your service.

A third of the cam-lock screws (the type used by Ikea and all flat pack furniture) wouldn't tighten, leaving the desk unstable. Gear4music couldn't seem to understand this enough to assist me. According to them, unlike in every other piece of flat pack furniture that uses these screws, these ones are not meant to tighten!?!The fact they kept referring to my desk as a piano made me lose all confidence in their abilities quite quickly.The desk isn't bad. Cheap and not particularly well made. The customer service is enough to ensure I never use Gear4music for anything ever again.

Pros:Lots of space for my rack gear (not in photo)SturdyCons:The sliding keyboard surface will only take keyboards under 8cm tall. (I may need to drill some new holes). It’s also difficult to attach.Once you place your screen, it’s very high up.. I think I may get a sore neck!!It’s a bit cheap, Ikea style, and a finger print magnet.Not enough depth!!!No bolts included for your rack mount gear.I’d likely have opted for a different desk.
