A little background, I'm 46 and have been dying my roots black for about 12 years. For the past year, I've been fighting gray roots coming in every week. I was tired of having to color every couple weeks only to have to use other methods to hide the gray in the in-between times. So, the last time I colored my hair (7/30/20) I decided that it was t actually the last time. I had no idea my roots were so white, some of it is a mix of brown and silver, and areas are just silver... and it's a very stark contrast against the black hair. I bought this white hair spray to try to blend my white into the black a little. It turns the black a dark shade of gray with a light misting. I use it mostly in the front to help get a slightly more uniform appearance. It doesn't completely cover the black, not even with multiple sprays, but I will say that it helps and that it does look a little better than the harsh line between the black and white. It has a strong smell... not an unpleasant smell, but quite fragrant. The scent will fade some after awhile, but if you're highly sensitive to strong odors, this one may bother you. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that this product sprayed on my already gray hair makes it look awesomely white and bright! So if you already have gray locks and wish they were lighter, this will do the trick!

This stuff worked great in my daughter's hair for the 100th day of school! Note that it has a strong smell, and can take a few washes to get completely out of hair.

I have naturally medium blonde hair, and this worked really well making it all white. I ordered two cans and it had decent coverage. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it does come off on clothes and is very messy when applying. It was very wet when I applied it and it dried kind of hard. While it was wet, I added baby powder to it to really get full coverage and to absorb some of the wetness. Once it was mostly dry, I put a brush through it and it dried up really well and turned out excellent for the costume. I would recommend adding baby powder if you really want to go very white. It washed out the first time in the shower. I shampooed 3 times to get it all out, but keep in mind I used a lot. My hair was back to normal once I got out of the shower.
