Traxxas 2972 EZ-Peak Plus 100 Watt NiMH/LiPo Dual Charger with iD System

Great charger! I have two 5800mAh LiPo batteries for my two Traxxas RC cars and love being able to charge them both at the same time. I could have bought two chargers I suppose, but I find having just one is simple. The cool thing is if I ever buy a larger capacity battery I can charge it quicky with the high output mode (just one though). Simple to use, and seems to be very well made. There is a fan but it's not loud and it turns itself off when the batteries are charged (so intelligent enough to know when it needs cooling internally). I don't really leave LiPo batteries charging unattended but if I have them on the garage floor and I'm on my patio I like that I can hear the beeping tones when the batteries are charged. The charge capacity gauge is very nice too. All in all, it does everything it's supposed to. Also, unless you have the ID batteries you need to press two buttons together to start selecting you charge options (balance, store, fast etc). This is good because you have to actually have to make decisions on what you are going to do with your batteries. One less chance of accidentally charging a LiPo battery with NiMh settings (bad). I haven't used the fast charge setting, I find it does my 5800mAh batteries to balance charge from storage charge in about 50 mins. That's usually all my son and I need with our 2S machines. Lastly it also will do a discharge down to storage levels of your battery is still between storage and balance (full) capacity but it takes quite a while (I think it only discharges at around 1A -- I should measure this. I usually just run the cars down myself. Still cool that it has the capability. Would definitely recommend this.

It is only good for Traxxas batteries. All other types you will need a different kind of charger. With that being said, this charger works great with 2S, 3S, and NiMH batteries. You can see the progress of the charge by the LED lights. The only Con is that it is for Traxxas batteries only and they cost more than other brands.

Great charger for traxxas & non traxxas products. WILL NOT CHARGE THE 6700 4S traxxas battery. Very let down that I have to buy another charger for one battery.
