Fliptop Aquatix Double Wall Insulated Ultimate Sport Bottle 32 ounce Lime Green Stainless Steel

I have been buying and using Aquatix stainless steel flip-top bottles for years. I carry one with me nearly every day, all day. I take them on trips, domestic and abroad. My liquids stay cold all day, even without ice, in crazy heat! I love this water bottle! It really does keep drinks cold forever. Even walking around when it's really hot, as long as the liquid I put in is cold, hours later when I take a drink the liquid is still cold. And it's so big, it's perfect for me as I'm really sensitive to the heat and get dehydrated easily but still wanna get out there and do stuff. Plus the opening is nice and big so you can get a nice amount of liquid at once, but it's not so much you end up spilling it all over yourself, it's just a slightly wide opening for your mouth, not the entire top. The only downside is since it's so big it's also wider. I don't care that it really doesn't fit in a car cup holder, but I wish it were easier to hold. When you're walking for a couple hours, it gets a little cumbersome after a while. But this is just a minor complaint. The bottle is awesome! It is the perfect size to have for walking or running 5-6 miles, as not only does it hold enough liquid so you can drink it all without having to refill it somehow, but it also keeps it cold the whole time.

I needed a larger water bottle for the summer months and this has not disappointed. I like my water ice cold and this keeps my water cold without adding ice. I did add ice the other weekend as I would be spending the entire day outside. 9 hours later, the ice had barely melted. I love that I can lock the cap shut. This does not fit in all the cup holders in my car. It fits in the front console holders only (Ford Edge). So when I bought 2 more for my husband and son, we make sure the caps are locked and toss anywhere. They don't leak. I can't speak to how it does with hot liquid as I use this solely for water (pretty much all I drink) but based on how insulated this is and the fact that our bottles have kept water cold for over 12 hours, I would expect it to perform well with hot as well.

EDIT: After writing this (below), I found out that they sell replacement lids on Amazon so I'll be buying one of those. I am still disappointed that the company cannot be bothered to respond to emails. But at least I can fix this for under $10 instead of having to buy a whole other bottle for much more. I do like how cold the bottle keeps my water, and it's the perfect size for me. I have read that the new and improved lid also addresses the inside staining issue that I mention below. I assume when they talk about "staining" they mean the mold I am seeing. Plus I really dig the new handle! Looking forward to trying that out! I like the idea of that much more than the carabiner clip, which I never use because it's far too heavy to put that much weight on a little amount of space like that. I don't have anything sturdy to hook it to._________________I absolutely ADORED this bottle. Used it constantly. I fill it to the top with ice and then fill with water and it will stay cold into the next day! I just keep refilling the water as I drink it down, and the ice takes a fairly long time to melt so it worked AWESOME!! For about 10months.And then the plastic latch that holds the lid closed snapped right off. Apparently, it cannot handle being opened and closed regularly. Which means that if you are using this thing a lot (which I assume most of us are...it's kinda the point...we want to drink more water) that that lid is not going to last. And without that latch, the lid won't stay closed. I had to jury-rig a wire closure which is less than ideal. I tried contacting the company to get a replacement part or lid, to no avail. No response.I'd also like to point out that the inside of the lid has a sort of rubber-like substance that seals the opening and I discovered that gets moldy after some time. (Wish I had noticed it sooner...didn't occur to me that I should be doing something to avoid this.) And it is darn near impossible to get the mold off! I mean I scrubbed and scrubbed! It's like it is embedded in that rubber or something! Anyway, I'm ready to pitch this whole thing now though with the broken latch, scratching my hand on the wire that doesn't really stay on very well because it IS a jury rig, after all. Too bad because like I said, until that latch broke about 10 months in, I LOVED this thing!! But I expect a water bottle this expensive to last longer than a year!I see there are similar stainless steel bottles on Amazon that have lids that don't have this sort of problematic latch...so I'm going to try them out and see if they last longer. Hopefully, they don't have the same issue with mold too. And I'll for sure be keeping an eye on the inside of the lid now too, washing it sooner, now that I know that mold can potentially grow in there...Yuck!!
