Soil pH Meter, FV03 Upgraded Large Screen Soil Moisture/Sunlight/pH Tester Backyard Soil Test kit, Reliable Gardening Soil Tool for Garden, Farm, Lawn Indoor & Outdoor Use

I received the Fivota large screen Soil ph Meter shortly after ordering it, along with a second meter of a different brand. Upon inspection of the two, the Fivota meter was overall larger and therefore the meter box allowed for a much easier reading. The instruction pamphlet that came with it not only explained about and how to use the meter, it has a little chart of what range the soil dry/wetness of different plants should be. I really liked that useful information. After reading through the instructions, I immediately took both units out to the garden. Although both worked, I must say that I really liked the Fivota meter much better and wound up using it throughout the garden. The main reason being that it was so much easier to read; I didn’t need to kneel down to see what the indicator needle was pointing to. Even though I spent a little more money getting this particular meter unit, I am actually happy I did, This will be my main meter tool for the garden with the other meter being a backup should something happen (sometimes I do drop things). As of now, all I can say is I’m delighted with my purchase, yes, I would purchase this again and yes, I would recommend this product.

I Purchased the Fivota Moisture/PH/Sunlight reader because I had several brown spots in my yard and I wanted to test the PH levels of the soil. This meter is easy to use. Just put it in the soil, wait 10 minutes and you will have your results! I tested several different areas of my yard. The meter gave me a neutral PH level in the green areas and a high Alkaline reading in the yellow areas. Readings were consistent and I can say that this meter is accurate. I tried the moisture level as well out in the yard and on a few indoor house plants and those readings were consistent with what I expected the moisture levels to be. Unfortunately the PH meter broke when I pushed it into my yard a little too hard. he moisture and and sunlight meters still work. I only damaged the PH probe. That is why I am only giving this four stars. Just a warning for those who purchase this to go gentle when putting it into the soil.

I have several different kinds of plants and flowers on my apartment balcony, and I needed a good soil meter that would give me accurate results every time - for pH, sunlight and most importantly, water. I've gone through several different brands of soil meters in the past, and none of them came close to measuring up to this particular meter. I'm writing this review after having used this soil meter at least twice a day, everyday, for the last month. Today, the condition of the soil meter is the same as the day I purchased it here on Amazon: The rods are in great shape, the toggle switch works perfectly, and the meter remains completely accurate, no matter what you're measuring (in regard to the soil your plant is in). If you're looking for a solid soil meter that will give you accurate results time and time again, I HIGHLY recommend you stop reading the reviews for this and other soil meters, and add THIS one to your shopping cart! Just keep in mind (and this goes for all products you purchase): Follow the directions on how the company suggests to use this meter, as well as the best way to keeping it in good, working order, and you'll be as pleased with this soil meter as I am - which says a lot, because I don't often write reviews.

Worked well with potted plants outside in the summer and inside the rest of the year, then one of the probes became loose which made the meter useless. It was never used in hard ground only container plants. Wiped off probe gently after using as instructed. Considering the price, I knew it would not last forever but still a bit disappointing.

I really can't say that this is accurate because one of the probes is not attached to anything inside the top piece, it's just floating up and down, not hooked to anything, so my guess is it has been ju8nk since day one when I opened it.UPDATE; I took the top of this meter apart and found that there were 5 pieces of black plastic floating around inside, these were from the part that supported the probe. But the wiring was still attached, but the device still does nothing, it doesn't see and light and the PH meter never changes no matter what pot of soil I stick it into. It must have took a hit when being shipped. I never noticed any damage to the box. I just recently decided to try using this, it sucks that you can trust to buy a product for future use and it is broken.

I purchased a Persimmon plant several months ago. Without knowing the condition of my soil, I planted the Persimmon. Days went by, I watched my plant die slowly (leaves turning brown and falling. Branches are drying up) without realizing the soil Ph is too low for this plant. I searched for info on the internet to help revise this plant and came across this device. Upon testing my soil, I found my soil Ph was at ~4.5. I need to bring the soil Ph up to 6+ for this type of plant. 3 weeks after I added some organic Ph+ fertilizer, I tested my soil with this device and it's at ~6.5. Best of all, the branches start to show some sign of live even though all leaves are gone. Thanks for this device, my plant has a chance now.

It is a sketchy experience buying soil meters on Amazon. They all look very similar, but with different brand names, some are noted as being terrible quality, and some products have high review scores...but when you read the actual reviews they are for ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PRODUCTS!This meter was not like that at all and worked perfectly, right out of the box. The light sensor is massive and accurate, and so are the PH & Moisture functions, especially at this price point. I trust this substantially more than any of those DIY soil sample kits, which don't seem accurate because they don't accommodate for the PH of your water which is necessary for the reading. These DIY tests are unlikely to be accurate unless they are performed professionally, which is expensive and cost-prohibitive especially when changing medias frequently/checking many kinds.
