Good pwc attachments device.
When a jet ski slides back in rough water it becomes to tight on the rope to release, with this pelican clamp I allows release because of design.

Finish is not top tier, but construction is sturdy - solid price/value
Using these for our sailboat for lifelines. These hooks are made well. They arrived slightly dirty from the SS mfg process. The hooks were NOT polished and they had actual marks from the shaping process. That said, if they perform well they are a great value for stainless steel.A little scrub with Bar Keeper's Friend and they were clean and look just fine. These are sturdy. I am pleased with them even if they aren't polished or have top tier finish. I just want them to work well and as expected.The complaints by others re: needs a load to stay closed - you're right, and you shouldn't expect anything different from this type of rigging. That's what these hooks are made for. They release very quickly and hold well under load. Get something spring loaded and locked if you need holding in slack conditions.I will update my review if I discover a defect in structure, rust, or sturdiness once on our boat.

an actual pelican hook
a great pelican hook, but the ring will slip off in a slight breeze. it would be easy to mouse it so the ring stays put, with a velcro or plastic tie strap, but i consider this a significant design flaw. if you can guarantee that the load has permanent tension (like if the hook end faces downward) then no problem; relaxing the tension results in a loose ring. you're call.
