Tough and durable, but still easy to use; excellent build quality and performance
I'm very pleased with all aspects of this garden hose. The overall build quality is excellent, both in terms of the hose itself as well as the fittings. It compares very favorably, in terms of build quality, with hoses that cost twice as much, and is miles better than the cheap hoses.Even though it is made of rubber it still is easy to maneuver and coil. It stays pretty flexible when the temp drops, although it is easier to handle/coil when it is warm. There was a small amount of black material that came off the hose onto my hands when I first took it out of the package, but after just a few days of use of dragging it through the grass, my hands stay clean when handling it.Kink resistance is excellent. On the rare occasion when I get a kink it's easy to work out and doesn't set in permanently. The weight is not bad --the 75 foot one I have weighs about 14 pounds, so even if I have to pick up the entire spooled hose it's not difficult to handle.Could not be more pleased with this. An excellent value, especially since the lifespan is way longer than other hoses (I have another rubber hose that is 25 years old, lives outside year-round, and is still working great).

Best Hose Yet!
This hose is just what I was looking for! Quality, 100% rubber, with excellent fittings, and pliable, unlike the cheap hoses widely available that may look good but, tend to kink and twist restricting water flow. I bought the 100-footer, and have it connected all the time, in case of a fire in the house or outside. It is also there for general use year-round in my detached, heated garage so it can't freeze. I have a second hose in the house basement for backup. They both reach the entire outsides and insides of both buildings. Good peace of mind! Thanks, Amazon! Pete M. New London, WI

If you are looking for a GREAT garden hose, this is it.
You may be like me, having bought those late 80's / early 90's era green, Craftsman lifetime garden hoses from Sears, still have them and want some more. But there's nothing like them available at any store you've been to.Well, this is as close as you're gonna get. These are similar "octagon" shape, similar flexibility, durability, etc., but not EXACTLY. Close, but not exact. But they are as good as you're gonna get in this modern age of low quality, high price....I've bought the Flexon 100' hose from Costco. Junk. I've bought a 100' x 3/4" contractor's hose from WM. Not junk, but it's like wrestling 2 black bears trying to wash your car. Or move a sprinkler. The Flexon hose kinks. Just sitting there, it kinks.I chose to take a chance on this B&S hose instead of spending 2x as much on the Dramm. I'm very, very happy with this B&S hose and plan to order a couple more.BTW, I STILL have my 30+ year old Craftsman green, lifetime hoses with REAL, heavy duty brass fittings. Whoever made those hoses back in the day made them with full intention of not having to have Sears warranty them. Mine have been outside in the sun, heat, cold, snow, whatever for 30+ years and they work like they did when new.Buy this B&S hose with confidence, you will be satisfied.

Wanted something that will stand up to the heat
So far this hose is working well. It's rubber, so it's going to be heavier than PVC, but that's not always a bad thing. It does tend to need a little work to coil and uncoil, but it's not impossible or too much work even for someone who isn't particularly strong.I live in the California desert and it regularly gets up to 120F here, along with high UV. My PVC hoses only last a year, if that, and I got tired of trying to get companies to stand by their "lifetime warranty" promises. I have another rubber hose that's weathered at least 5 years of our heat and sun, so I wanted a second for our backyard. My only caveat is that you should measure how long you need the hose to be -- I should have bought one longer than 25 feet! This one seems sturdy and well made and that it will last a few years.

Great Quality Hose
Good quality hose.I bought this hose after returning another hose that was advertised as a Rubber No Kink hose, but that kinked like crazy. This hose is great quality and I couldn't be more happy with it.

You want durability and longevity?......this is the one to get!!!
At the end of the day nothing beats an all NATURAL rubber hose for durability. Not synthetic rubber, not PVC, not even Polyurethane will provide the wear resistance and durability of natural rubber. Why do you think they can offer a lifetime warranty?? Two issues with any rubber hose is that IT WILL KINK and they are heavier than cheaper plastic versions. The kinking can be greatly reduced by the use of a swivel joint at the male hose end. I recommend the EDEN 92285 aluminum swivels found here at Amazon. Be sure to use either plumbers teflon tape (1st choice), anti-seize compound or at minimal petroleum jelly between dissimilar metals to avoid corrosion. As for the hose, as best I can tell, the Briggs hose is the same one that Sears marketed and sold for many years under the CRAFTSMAN brand. Even the packaging looks similar! Both are black hexagonal-shaped 5/8 ID hose rubber, terminated with high-quality nickel-plated fittings. (NOTE: I've NEVER had a failure between the hose and the fitting) Unfortunately, Sears decided to stop selling this hose and opt for a cheaper overseas? version a few years back. I had one of those original green rubber Craftsman hoses for 25+ years before one of my kids somehow managed to puncture it. I currently have six of these hoses in various lengths and for the money, I consider them to be the best overall value in the market. Take my advice and pay-up a few dollars and get a USA-made all rubber hose. If not this one, then you might consider the Continental rubber hose at a similar price. You can thank me later!!EDEN 92285 swivels: https://www.amazon.com/Eden-92285-Connector-Free-Spinning-Movement/dp/B0B7ZM1TCQ/ref=sr_1_10?crid=19G8VK1H15L2T&keywords=eden+swivel&qid=1689096327&sprefix=eden+swivel%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-10
