Game changer!
Roller shades are not cheap but they lack one key feature when it comes to blacking out light, the sides! These are AMAZING!! 100% recommend makes the our bedroom at night super dark! And in the mornings it has been a game changer! The adhesion isn’t amazing, but they serve the purpose l. Looks great! As far as cutting I would recommend buying tin cutting scissors if you don’t have them, get them you will need them!

Somewhat disappointing fracturing when cutting to the right length.
Not easy to cut it to the right length without damage to the ends - tried snips, scissors, etc., and all caused some fracturing and it was not possible to get the cut ends to be precise. Not too visible luckily.I have not tried to adhere them to the wall, since I am a bit concerned about damage to the paint. So, these do tend to fall (not too often though) when the automated blinds I am using them with, go up and down. And the light blocking is not perfect, even though it is an improvement over *not* using them! One of these arrive broken when I got around to installing it - unfortunately, after the return date. So, I will need to buy a replacement ... my own fault.

Total fail, from instructions to damaging paint
We have blackout shades in our bedroom, but the sun still slips around on the edges, so I was very excited to find this as a potential solution.Unfortunately, this was a total fail from start to finish.- There are no instructions, so I had to rely on Amazon photos and reviews to guess where on the window frame to attach this (i.e. in front of the shade or behind it).- One of the pieces would not lay flat against the window frame and started started curling up on the end within seconds. When I pulled it up a bit to try again, it tore the paint off the wall.- Worst of all: It didn't actually block the light. If I was looking straight on at the window, it helped a little. If I stepped to either side just a few feet, I could still see the light creeping around it.I tried placing it in front of the shade AND behind. Maybe if your bed is directly across from the window, it would help — but if you're looking from an angle at all, it didn't help.

Fantastic for kid room
We have these on every single window in every kids room. To eliminate the little gap of light that shines in. They are fantastic. Super easy to install. They are a little expensive but have been up for years so you get your moneys worth. If you have a baby that needs total darkness for sleep, these fit great.

Good investment
Although it is very expensive for the length, the quality is good and easy to cut. Gives a more complete and modern look. It also helps block out light while also keeping shades nicely and straight.

terrific
These light blockers are terrific. They are very easy to install, and do a great job at blocking light from a nearby street lamp. This item blocks all light that had previously been coming through the sides of my window shades.Actually, "install" is probably too strong a word. There is no installation. All that needs to be done is to remove the adhesive strip; and then press each blocker against the most inward-facing edge of the window. The adhesive seems strong. But to be on the safe side, in a few places I duct-taped the blockers to the adjoining wall.
