The Bright Book: A Creativity Workbook Designed to Help You Shine

This beautiful colorful book is not what I expected and I’m kind of disappointed.There is nothing wrong with this book. It was my expectation of the book that let me down.I thought that there were going to be step by step projects but instead it’s mostly prompts.Theres nothing wrong with prompts but my work is all my own and I’m not going to learn new techniques here.My thinking may change about different subjects as I try to create what the prompts are suggesting.But sometimes it’s hard to come up with ideas for all of the prompts.If you like prompts you’ll like this book.Also she provides space to work in in the book but I prefer a heavier weight paper.

I love this book! I love EttaVee's bright artwork and could not wait to get this book. It is not a how-to paint book. This is a workbook that has lots of art ideas, questions, and journal pages. I especially loved the pages where she challenges you to create art inside the book. There are exercises on all kinds of art techniques like abstract, drawing, and painting. There are also a few coloring patterns. And, I especially liked the part about how to mix colors and create color palettes. I especially like that it is an elastic band closure so I can keep my journal entries private. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone that loves this artist or anyone that is looking to break through some creative blocks.

Such a lovely book full of inspiration and ideas! I’m going to enjoy working through this all summer.
