As a pastor and seminary student, I’ve read many books on apologetics, but Person of Interest by J. Warner Wallace stands out as one of the most compelling. This book masterfully combines the rigor of a detective’s investigation with the transformative truths of the gospel, making it both intellectually engaging and spiritually enriching. Wallace takes readers on a journey to uncover the truth about Jesus Christ using the same investigative techniques he honed as a cold-case detective. What’s remarkable is how he builds a case for Christ without relying solely on Scripture, instead highlighting the profound impact of Jesus on history, culture, science, art, and human thought. It’s a powerful reminder of Colossians 1:17: “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” Wallace’s work reminds me of Frank Turek (one of the author's of "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist"), particularly in how it demonstrates that faith and reason are not at odds with each other, but are highly intertwined. This book is shocking in a sense, as this writer shows from a forensic scientific viewpoint, how Jesus Christ has become part of in all of human endeavors, from science, to religion, to arts and entertainment, and so on. This is the overwhelming story of how a man, born in an obscure village, preached only three years, did not write any books, did not attend elite, rich schools, and died as a criminal, put into a tomb, yet rose agin to become the focal point of human history in all aspects, even in those aspects that many do not know about. He has touched more lives, endeavors, and human creativeness beyond even words to describe. This book is an outstanding and excellent book to show that Jesus has indeed been breaking down the gates of hell to build his church and also that no one has an excuse for not knowing who he is and what he has done. No matter what any human has done, Jesus has touched lives, been written about, talked about and so on, that no other human in history can match. He is the focal point of all of history, and no matter what we see in the main media that tries to say Christianity is not good and tries to do away with Christian thinking, yet, there is no denial that Jesus is and cannot be ignored, even by the leaders such as in China, North Korea, Islam, and all religions, cultures, and even atheists who are also at odds with the reality of who Jesus is. Al other writings intermingle Jesus with some of what they believe, and put Jesus as an add on at times, or as an example, or such like, yet the Bible is the only book that does not intermingle Jesus with any other teaching from any other religious leaders or gods. To anyone who will read this book, along with discovering who Jesus is, what His influence has been and how the yeast of his teaching has permeated all of society in culture, even in today's social justice movements and progressive teachings, and anti-Christian movements, will find it hard to ignore what Jesus has become. A very sobering look at the person of Jesus as a person of interest. An excellent book for Christians to build their faith, proofs about Jesus in the world way beyond anything most would and have been thinking, and to those interested in Jesus in history for anyone Christian or non-Christian, this is one of The books to read, study and have in one's library as well as to gift to anyone interested in knowing Jesus Christ.

Wow! I need to let everyone know how awesome this book is! J. Warner Wallace has done so much research and work in this, to produce a gem. The images are very helpful to digest the amount of information it contains. Mr. Wallace offers a PDF after purchasing the book, and the extra stuff is extensive! You will be pleased you bought this book. It's a resource that you will use for years to come. It's a book to be read countless times. Wow! Person of Interest is perhaps the most thought provoking and eye-opening book I’ve read about Jesus’ impact on this world. Not only are we given a wide array of evidence for why Jesus matters, but we are also given an entertaining, and true, narrative of a cold case homicide investigation. This book gives a plethora of information but in a fun and easy to read manner. Our modern day culture tells us that Jesus doesn’t matter to a society led by reason and science, but J. Warner Wallace outlines the truth of Jesus involvement in even the most worldly aspects of our culture. Are you into the arts, science, or philosophy? If so, you are familiar with, or a direct product of, Jesus’ impact. This impact carries far beyond the New Testament teachings. For example, imagine learning about the Jesus of the Bible without the use of the New Testament accounts of Jesus ministry. The resulting investigation would be much like a cold case homicide investigation where there is no body and no crime scene evidence. The truth of this case is powerful. Person of Interest is the perfect investigative book into who Jesus is and why He matters to our world today.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I have recommended it to several friends and family members. We have also covered a few of the chapters in our Sunday school class. I look forward to reading other books by Bro. J. Warner Wallace.

Eye opening

SUPER BUCH! Ein Polizeikommissar ermittelt (mit der Taktik eines Ermittlers eben ;o)) die Glaubwürdigkeit des historischen Jesus! Für Christen (nicht solche die sich nur so nennen, sondern die Jesus auch nachfolgen) sehr Glaubensstärkend und für Menschen die sich fragen ob es Jesus tatsächlich gegeben hat oder was es mit ihm auf sich hat ist es auch empfehlenswert sich mal mit diesem Thema auseinanderzusetzen! ;o) Das Buch ist auch nicht trocken sondern sehr mitreißend geschrieben! :o)

Highly recommend this book for either Christians or non-Christians

J Warner Wallace has once again used his unique perspective and investigative skills learned from his background in cold case homicides to uncover and shed light on the greatest and most influential people to ever walk this earth. For those who agree that Jesus is a purposeful, intentional and real person - to those who think he was a mere enlightened man - to those who think he is not more than a fairy tale; this book is for you! With information from all areas of life (timing in history, other world religions, education and science to name a few) Wallace presents evidence that would ultimately make him conclude that Jesus Christ was indeed, a person of purpose, a person of interest, and a person that we all need to contemplate and ask ourselves, how does he relate to my life? J Warner Wallace, who was an atheist, also gives amazing illustrations that help the reader understand and visualize the bigger picture. He also uses examples from a real cold case homicide he was investigating to show how his techniques for solving a 20 year old murder, with no body and no evidence, can be directly applied to the life and death of Jesus Christ. This book is jammed pack with super cool information and facts and illustrations! I can't stop talking to my friends and family about all the information in this book. No matter what religion or non religion you are a part of, I challenge you to read this book and seriously think about what this means for you. I recommend it 100%.

Every topic is beautifully explained and articulated from the professional expertise and findings of J.Warner Wallace . This is a must read for every believer - it encourages ,enlightens and serves as good artifact while enagaging in conversations with non believers . And even for those who challenge the person of Jesus and Christianity - this book gives the information needed !!
