Hog Wild Peeramid Reading Pillow, Taupe (62018)

Just love it

My wife got a bean-type pillow for her Kindle Fire and I got jealous of her being hands-free. So I started looking for one, too. I found this reading pillow and gave it a try. I love it! It's lighter than I expected, which is fine. I don't need a brick sitting on my lap. It's good and stiff, so it holds my kindle Fire HDX just fine, case and all. It has a 2 pockets (I am only using one at the moment) where I keep my stylus and a pen. The size is perfect for using the kindle either in portrait or landscape mode and it does not block the screen. I've set this pillow on my lap, on my bed, on a pillow, on a table, on my nightstand (you get the idea) and it has been stable in every instance. I never felt my Kindle was in danger of falling and I had no trouble using my Kindle with this pillow. And an added bonus, the tension in my neck and shoulders from holding my Kindle up for hours, is going away!To sum up, for the price, I don't think you can go wrong!

The pillow is really sturdy and well made. The book I'm reading right now is an old hard back and quite heavy (865 pages), 8 1/2" x 6" and it easily stays put on the pillow's shelf without moving. I do have to keep one hand in front of the left side of the book to keep that page down, but I don't have to hold the book in my hands. I have arthritis so this is very important to me. Also, I could even use a special book weight that I have if I don't even want to keep one hand in front of the left side. I believe a thinner book would not require this. It is totally comfortable reading in bed while lying down on my side. It's also great for using my smart phone. It stays in place on the pillow's shelf without moving as I text, read, scroll, etc. I'm extremely happy about the purchase and have already recommended it to others. I'm thinking that hard cover books will work best because of the weight and they are easier to stay open than soft cover ones.

I ordered this pillow for a friend because she had heard me brag so much about how I love mine. I have had my Peeramid Pillow several years now and I use it each and every time that I read a book or use my iPad in bed, which is almost every night. It is the perfect prop and frees my hands & arms. I've used it with large books, small books and paperbacks all with great results. As for my iPad, this little pillow is the perfect prop to hold it upright. The Peeramid is lightweight and fits evenly on my lap. It does not tip over either. I just prop my book or tablet up against it and I'm ready to read for hours. It also has a small pocket on one side for a bookmark or whatever you choose to keep in it. I bought my daughter one as a gift last year and she loves it too. This little pillow is at the top of my list of items that I have purchased from Amazon through the years. You can't go wrong with this item, I promise!

I searched for over an hour for just the right ipad pillow. I finally ordered something that I was not thrilled with, but seemed to be the best I could find. Hah, once that was in my basket, this item showed up. Bingo! I guess this does not show up unless you look for a book pillow, for which this was originally created.This holds up my iPad at a very nice angle and it nestles in the lip without blocking access to the bottom of the screen. A major bonus in my book, or pad as it were, is that there are two small pockets on opposite sides. The picture shows pens in the pocket, but of course, it can also be used to hold a stylus, a credit card for those spontaneous Internet orders, earbuds or my iphone. So handy!Additionally, this is very pretty and as another reviewer pointed out, you can turn it around and set it on the bed or chair and it looks like a little pillow. I'm very pleased with the versatility and looks of this item. I highly recommend this.
