I have been searching for watercolor paper that is good quality and does not cost a fortune. These sheets from Baohong are both! They are about $2 cheaper more sheet than the Arches watercolor paper I usually buy. They arrived rolled up but I put books on top of them and they flattened out. I’m not certain you can paint on both sides of this paper like you can with Arches but since I usually sew these papers into books to make my own sketchbook, I don’t paint on the back sides of already painted pages.

After much research and trials, this is my new favorite paper. I love the absorption and the texture is very nice. The texture doesn't look like a pattern. It's holds up well to scrubbing. It is a bit smoother on the back but still very good if you want more of a slightly hot pressed feel. This larger size can be cut into any size... I actually think it is more economical in the long run. I've only had it a few hours and so far I can't say anything negative. I'll definitely be reordering in the future.

The paer measures upto the best in business. Consistent in behavior, very good absorbency, holds washes well. And is strong enough for masking gum and tape. I biught the rough paper and it has the right amount of roughness for the texure i needed. Would love to try out the cold press one too. And it is definitely less expensive when one compares with the leaders.

The closest to arches paper I have found. The texture is a little bit different, but every brand has a different texture. The way it performs and sturdiness is like arches.

Very good paper for the price. Applied paint pigments stay bright. Have purchased several packs and will again.

Really good suitable for all different applications.
