The trigger broke on my old Dyson V10 Absolute after almost 3 years of daily use. So, I ordered this as a replacement. I took my old one apart, cleaned it up really well and repaired the broken trigger and some other broken plastic parts. I also bought a new, more powerful battery and now have 2 working V10's -- one for each floor of my house. If you are not handy and don't have the right tools, I would not recommend trying this repair yourself as the Phillips, T8 and T9 screws are soft and the plastic parts are fragile. Some force is required in disassembly and assembly and replacement parts are almost impossible to find. Watch the Youtube video and go for it yourself if you are feeling lucky and have nothing to lose.

This vacuum couldn’t be easier to use and have the same great suction we have in our canister which is also a Dyson. After having so many different vacuums, we will only buy Dyson from now on.

Please please please be aware of this. My vacuum stopped charging after only 5 months of light use. The battery replacement has been out of stock for TWO MONTHS, and Dyson can do nothing to help. Horrible customer service.

At first the wife wasn't to excited about me spending this amt. of $ on a plastic vacuum cleaner. Well when she saw how much crap it picked up from the rug and carpet, she couldn't believe it. She now loves it and uses it all the time. So far so good.

I have 2 problems with this vacuum. #1 Filter clogs EXTREMELY FAST on dust. I mean like you will vacuum with a freshly cleaned filter for maybe a 30 seconds to a minute and it will stop. Like to have your windows open? Don't buy this vacuum, it can't handle the microscope dust and you will become enraged every time you try to vacuum. Instructions say to throughly rinse the filter and allow to air dry for 24 hours. I quickly realized that I had to clean the filter after every use, even when it managed to make it long enough to vacuum the room. Problem #2 Having to hold the trigger the entire time you vacuum. Why couldn't they design it with an on/off switch??? Luckily with constantly choking on dust you won't have to hold the trigger long! My advice, don't buy this vacuum. I could overlook the trigger issue but the constant clogging issue is too much. We have no pets and it's just the two of us with no clutter so I can't put the blame on that. This was not worth the money!

My daughter had an older model and took it with her when she moved. I just had to replace it because they are so easy to use.Expensive but well worth it.
