Jazz Baby

My toddler requests that we read this book at least 4 times per day. Not sure anything else needs to be said. Fun illustrations, a big beautiful edition, and LOTS of opportunities to sing, clap, snap, and bop while reading it. Can't write more - toddler is insisting we read it AGAIN.

We've had this book for a few years now and as our son has grown, he still loves to pull this book off the shelf. We now also have another little boy and he loves it, too! My oldest is now 6 and my youngest is now 2. We all love reading this one out loud because of the rhymes and rhythm of the writing. Highly recommend.

Both of my children love the rhythms, sing song of this fantastic book. We have many shades in our family and this book naturally represents all.

A multi-generational family showers their baby with music and love.I love reading this book to my nine month old baby and he loves hearing it. The words have rhythm and rhyme, so it's like singing or rapping. I snap my fingers in time while reading to him.***Update: 10/30/15 My son is now 18 months old and this is one of his favorite books. I still love it, too. I recommend it to other parents.***Update: 9/25/17 This book is a winner. We're still reading this book. Our three year old still loves it and our 19 month old picks it up and brings it over for us to read, saying, "baby!"I would highly recommend this book to parents of infants and toddlers. Great gift, too.

We love this book! We have been reading this to our 14 month old daughter since she was a month or two old, and she loves it! The sing-songy cadence of the book gets my daughter excited. We have now started gifting this book to other children, as it seems less known. We only wish it came in a board book!

This has been our sons favorite book since we bought it. I think he was around six months and he would light up every time he saw it and giggle at some of the words. Now he is 13 months and still can't get enough of it. He will pick it out of a stack of books to read every day.

I bought this book for my 2 nephews and 1 niece, all around 18 months at the time, and they have all fallen IN LOVE with it. One of my nephews, now turning 2 next month, NEEDS to read it every night before bed. Same with my niece who is turning 2 as well - and her sister is 4 and loves it too! So it's a book that truly spans the ages. On top of that, my fiance and I truly enjoy reading it. It has this melodic tone throughout and since we are both from musical families, we all relate even more. If you are considering a book for children from 18 mos to 5 years old, this is your book. You won't regret it!

This is one of those books that even people who can't stand children's books will enjoy reading aloud to their kids. It has rhythm and it is fun. My baby and husband both love it!
