I've been wax sealing my letters since before COVID started This kit has all you need and is WAY better than the first one I bought (not that it was terrible, but this is better quality and has it ALL!!) The color choices are a great variety and has something for all your friends and their favorite colors. I love the markers and the burner.

This kit has everything you need to add a bit of flair to your holiday or birthday cards and thank you notes by adding a colorful wax seal to the envelope. It comes with a rose and a "Thank You" stamp, and since the handle is a standard size it fits other stamps so you can add different symbols, letters, etc. There are 24 different colors of sealing wax beads in the kit, though some of the colors are very similar, like the two shades of light blue. The wax beads aren't hard candle wax, they produce a more flexible seal that won't crumble or break apart in the mail as easily. The kit even includes some tea light candles and a few vintage envelopes along with a melting spoon and "furnace" (really a stand to hold the melting spoon over the tea light candles).Adding a wax seal to an envelope is quite easy, but it does take a bit of practice to get a full imprint of the seal. I used a few of the colors I wasn't very fond of and practiced on plain paper to get the hang of it. I found that 2 1/2 of the wax beads was just about the perfect amount. Get the wax very hot (but not bubbling) so it flows easily, and carefully pour it into as large of a disc as you can, then press the stamp straight down, centered on the puddle of wax. Don't bring the stamp in at an angle or "roll" it onto the wax or it pushes the wax to the side and you don't get as nice of an imprint. Wait about a minute, and pull straight up while holding the paper or envelope down. If it doesn't easily release from the wax, give it a few more seconds and try again and it should lift off with a bit of a "snap". (I find that chilling the stamp before using, and between each seal if doing more than one, helps.) Finally, you can add a fancy touch by rubbing the silver or gold pen on the raised symbol on the seal to make it stand out even more. That's it!The only issue I had, and why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the wood handle for the melting spoon is pretty thin and a bit fragile. When you are finished with a color, you need to clean out the remaining wax with a paper towel or tissue, and if you aren't careful you can split the wood of the handle where the metal shaft of the spoon screws into it, like I did. I repaired it with some wood glue and a zip tie to support it and it still works just fine.

I absolutely do not regret this purchase🤗 It came as described and in a brown box. My daughter and I opened it together right away because she just so happened to grab the package from outside and the label had the description on the box, so heads up there. No damage done we just got to enjoy it a bit earlier which was great! It is easy to use and great for anyone that has been on the fence about buying one of these kits!

I always wanted one of these. It’s so nostalgic. It’s giving Charles Dickens. It’s also easy to clean out too. Just scrape it while it’s slightly hot. I actually use it to seal my bottles.

I got this wax kit to use for my Save the Dates and wedding invites that we were handing out. Both stampers worked well and the melter wooden handle stayed cool even after 2+ hours of use. The wax melted quickly and harden nicely. Highly recommend for someone's first time wax sealing.
