How frequently must we wash the filter? The recommended time for washing the filter is 2 months, under normal ambient indoor usage conditions. The time period may vary depending on environment conditions. Does the filter affect the air flow? The filter doesn’t affect the air flow if placed according to the recommendations as per the standards. The air flow will start reducing once the filter starts blocking/chocking. Still the reduction in air flow will be negligible. Must we replace it after 10x wash? The 10x wash testing is done under standard usage and washing conditions. The washing ability may increase or decrease depending on user. The washing should be gentle washing, don’t use washing machine. Normal detergent washing can clean the filter easily. How to clean a filter if we can’t wash it? The AC filters are usually washed using air pressure jet or water pressure jet (not too high pressure). You can use air jet for cleaning the filter by applying the air pressure from reverse direction.
