So far they are really good we've had them for over two months already I think they are good quality it was a little hard for my husband to put on since they are not the originals. I think you need two people to install I had to help him hold the trunk. But I'm hoping they last for a couple years :)

Good struts easy to put in

These struts are a bit longer than the originals on a 2004 Honda Pilot (maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch), so it is necessary to remove both of the old struts before installing either of the new ones. Once both struts are removed, then the lift gate can be lifted higher to install. After solving this, the struts work fine and are easy to install. Only four stars because after contacting the seller, they did not inform me of this solution and I did not see it mentioned in the instructions. I had to find it in the comment section of another product. Seems like a no brainer, but I've seen this issue mentioned many times in the comments for other similar products. They should at least mention it.

Efficient and easy to install.

Sure beats propping the door open, which is what we had to do after the original supports went out a day before our road trip to Gulf Shores for a 13u baseball tournament... Had these in for over 3 months now and they've been great!!

Would have hoped they would last longer than 2.5 years (considering the OEM part lasted for 17 years before that...)

I installed these a couple of days ago and they work great so far. Installation was fast and easy, the hard part was getting one of the spring clips to stay disengaged long enough to install the 2nd strut.Dealer wants $75.00 EACH for the OEM struts, a national chain auto parts store here wanted $45.00 EACH for a pair of after market struts. These are a great buy, now hope they last.
