LifeSmart LifePro 1500W Portable Electric Infrared Quartz Space Heater for Indoor Use with 4 Heating Elements and Remote Control, Brown Oak Wood

Having only used this for less than a hour, I feel compelled to do a review to hopefully help those looking for a descent infrared heater. This is the third one I’ve purchased in a short period of time.The first was a familiar name here on Amazon, Dr. Infrared heater. I had high hopes as it’s probably the one most purchased. Don’t know what all the hype was about, as while sitting around 5-6 feet away, I hardly felt anything. You’d expect something after a hour, but no. The second was a Heat Storm infrared heater. Heat output was about the same as the Dr. Infrared, in other words, about nothing. Those two were returned. This heater, as you’ll note, have some really good reviews and from what I can tell, they’re deserved. In my same testing spot 5-6 feet away, after reading the instructions (and grabbing a couple of AAA batteries - they’re not included), and turning it on, wow I felt actual heat! Imagine that! I finally got what I was looking for in an infrared heater that Dr. Infrared and Heat Storm didn’t deliver. Keep in mind as of now I’ve only used it 1-2 hours, so this isn’t a reliability report. Will it keep putting out heat? Will it later fail to work? I’ve no idea. BUT I did buy the longest extended warranty available here on Amazon. No, I don’t necessarily believe in extended warranties, just playing it safe.Well, that’s my experience and I can’t guarantee yours will be the same. If something crazy happens, I’ll update this review. Currently I’d buy it all over again And I’d certainly recommend it to anyone.Here we are a day later and put a digital thermometer on the foot stool about 5 feet from the heater. Inside temperature was around 68 degrees overnight and this morning, without the infrared heater on. Since I’m in my mid 70’s of age, I get chilled easier than when younger. The temperature on the thermometer is a result of the heater being on around 30 minutes set on High. As mentioned before, this infrared heater works better IMHO to heat ME up and make ME comfortable. Obviously that’s what is important. Take a look:

Great heater for smaller spaces… exactly what I needed

I purchased this for a friend for Christmas and then went over to see her on New Year's and she was raving about this unit. She has a 1200 square foot lower level and they live on a lake so she was cold every morning. She said this unit warms up her whole lower level so now in the morning she's nice and warm. We have an outside pub we ended up ordering one for it and unbelievable it actually works on a room without insulation so I then purchased one for the back portion of my house. I'm not new to infrared heaters, some work okay others great and I will say I love this unit. Size is amazing and it actually works. Wish I had found this unit before purchasing the big bulky fireplace unit in my living room.

This is a great piece of furniture. I have a 3 room apartment and I set the temp on low and let the thermostat take control. It heats the whole apartment. This is my only means of heating and it does not eat me up on the power bill. Mind you it runs 24x7 and I am picky because am afraid of fires. This unit is well made and has been a blessing and gives me peace of mind. It is low noise and the thermostat shuts it off when it reaches my setting. Plug straight in outlet no extention away from everything and no worries. Thank you for a safe appliance a d peace of mind. Oh, cabinet does not get hot either.

My last Lifesmart heater died the day before I purchased this one and I had it for about two years. I purchased extra insurance on this one.This heater is not as hot as my last Lifesmart heater and it seems like the thermostat is a little bit off in comparison (maybe this is my real problem with this heater). It shuts off when it’s not as warm as my last heater did when it was set on 72 (both set on 72). It warms well but I need to set it on 73 to get it to behave like my last one. This one has a smaller form/physical size and I do like that but it may be what is causing the difference between the two.I do like this brand and chose it two years ago after much research, after comparing them to their competitors.I much prefer this heater over a small 1500 W space heater because you get way more heat with the same amount of electricity use, which makes it well worth its higher price, to me. Lasted the same amount of time as a small space heater which is why I bought extended service on it.

Works.

Set the timer,set the room temperature,heater comes on. Heater shuts off once it reaches room temperature. Excellent buy, works great!

Bought in Nov. 2022; fan stopped working this week which is an E1 error...they will not replace at the original manufacturer. You have to fix the fan...send them the receipt, serial number and wait for a new part... Really? I want to take this apart? Do not buy this brand. Find someone else who wants your business again.Update: The manufacturer spoke with me today; as the entire heater died ...the fan arrived this week; but then the heater is junk. Please do not buy this from this manufacturer. They were rude, unaccommodating, and unwilling to refund or replace their product. After truly just 3 months this heater had issues; and here we are now in March 2023 unable to hear any true professional response from this manufacturer. Buy this from someone else; buy another brand...stay away unless you want to repair this yourself with the "Parts" they will send.Update: Sent another fan but not whatever else it needs to work. Amazon, you were going to help?
