they are old fashioned but the sound is great

good replacement
works well. About the same as the music box that broke on the mobile that I have. Way cheaper to buy this device than a whole new mobile

Speedy tempo
The melody is way too fast and not soothing as it should be. It's too hectic to lull any babe to sleep. It works just fine though.

Be careful: it was easy to crank up too far and I broke it. But the sound and function were great before that.

Wind it up and it makes noise and spins! Pretty much all we were asking for. The hook is barely strong enough to hold up our 6-month-old though... and it doesn't spin her as quick as she'd like, but, it works!
