Q: How do i put the batteries in? The lid wont close and i dont know what to do.

You have to line up the centre plastic thing exactly (note the shape of it) and screw the lid down really hard. Once you've done that, it is a great lamp.

Q: How many lights in a pack

I bought one lamp. Excellent. Did not need a pack of them.

Q: Why is it hard to tune on

I have 4 and they are easy to turn on. Just press button and it's on

Sorry I bought this lamp in case of power cuts and haven't had to use it yet. but in my experience of other usage of batteries they do tend to last quite a long time. Sporry can't be more helpful
