Stuff is Awesome! Do not believe nay sayers.
Proof is in the pudding. I still have a pair of my military dress shoes coated with this stuff. Mind you I treated them in 1993 (over 20yrs ago) after buying this stuff in the PX. They will not crack or peel or damage the leather so long as you apply it correctly. I have seen people in the military use this product and have it crack. This is due to several reasons. One, the shoe or boot was not broke in so when the leather went through the initial stretch the material has no choice but to stretch. Two, they baked them at a high temp in the oven and third they did not prep the boot properly by completely stripping off the old wax and material or buff between every coat after the third coat. I made sure mine was stripped of all shoe polish with warm water and a rag, use fine sand paper to smooth out any scuffs then let it dry and used the cleaner. Let the boot dry again. Then follow the application instruction. If you note they advise to set them in the sun to aid in drying. I myself set my oven to 100 degrees and set them in with the door open for the first coat. I paid for a boot smith to do my Jump boots in 1992 and talked to him about "dipping" them as we called it. He told me all he did and I did my dress shoes on my own at another duty station. I have both my shoes and boots which I have used for hunting since leaving the military. Both have yet to flake or peel and still shine.I just recently bought a new pair of dress shoes I wanted this for and applied just as I did then and they look awesome with no cracking or peeling. The product is still packaged the same, looks, smells and applies the same way as it did over 20yrs ago. Hands down beats spending days of free time to get the initial spit shine and 30min to an hour every night touching up. Scuffs are easy to treat in accordance with the instructions but rare. Be patient, preparation is just as important as application.

Perfect shine.
This stuff always looks great. When your buddies are struggling to keep a shine, you'll be able to smile and keep going. Just remember to clean, clean and clean your boots/shoes with cleaner before you apply. When all the factory oils stop coming off on a rag, you're ready to paint

Works better than I imagined
I wasn't sure how this would work on my old boots but I followed the instructions to a T and it turned out very well. I did need to buy another can of the cleaner but if you follow the instructions exactly this will work well.

Easy shine that last.
This product is pretty impressive, has a lot of set up to get it right though. You have to prepare your boots for it by getting all remnants of polish of and cleaning it thoroughly. However you are provided with the equipment to do it all with the kit. It’s not really a polish for boots but more of a paint. You paint it on and place the boots somewhere where they can dry where you don’t have to worry about dust landing on them. Will take more than one coat. But it last for a long time between coats before losing its shine. Worth the buy.

Awesome but do not use sandpaper as directed!
I have used this product twice now, and it is pretty awesome. I used it to put a nice shine on my military-issued parade boots. The first time I used it it turned out perfect. The second time I used it it didn’t turn out quite as good. The second time I followed the instruction to the T. I used a 180 grit sand paper as directed and it put scratches in my boot. I had to go over that with a 400 grit sandpaper just to buff it out. And for the first couple coats the boots just had a hard rough texture to them. I had to put on 6 coats just to be able to get nearly rid of the rough look the sandpaper left. 7 coats made it look pretty good, with a nice shine on most of the boot but you can still tell a little bit, in some areas that weird looking texture is still there. But it looks good with a nice reflection nonetheless. The first time I used leather luster I did not use sandpaper and the boots turned out perfect all around with a clean smooth, nice reflective shine. So I do not recommend following the instructions when it says to lightly buff with sandpaper. Other then that it’s perfect if you do not want to spend 1 million hours polishing by hand.

Just let each layer dry for a couple of hours.
Love this product. I use this on my brand new Umpire) shoes and they look great. I did apply three layers. I would recommend this product to anybody. Just to remember to take your time when using this product. You’ll be satisfied with the outcome..

Must buy
I purchased this for my husband and hes only applied it one time. Easy to apply, does not crack and so far its been 2 work weeks. He used to spend hours working on his boots, we even purchased a heat gun.I so wish we would've found this product years ago!

I told everyone about this product!!!
I needed my shoes shiny for my job and if you follow the instructions, the results speak for themself. I gotten so many compliments and "how did you get your boots like that?" I told everyone who asked me about this product. I do recommend that in the processes of drying, that you keep in AC. It's about a 2 day process for me (but i gave it extra time to dry between stages) but will last for long time. Just a quick wipe down with water and go to go. No more hard labor every night to get to shine.
