Works great and tons of fun!
Ton of fun, but takes a good bit of practice to learn. I had one as kid, but could never get to work right, but as adult I got it going! Give it lots of spin and throw in a high arc, that's my advice!

My dog loves it
Bought this toy for my dog since he was obsessed with it.... It does comes back to you and there are many different ways to throw it

A birthday present for my grandson
I gave this to my grandson for his birthday and we tried it out together. It has a nice feel, soft enough that it shouldn't cause any injuries if it hits someone, and firm enough that it can really fly. I've had other boomerangs, and in my first couple throws it wasn't as inclined to return to me as were some of the others, but as with all boomerangs, it takes some practice to learn its balance and what angles should be used for different kinds of throws. Price is reasonable, seems well made and I expect it will be durable; it's a nice tough rubbery plastic.

Difficult to make it work
I prefer a regular aerobic disc to this boomerang.

Why did I buy this? I'm sure it will come back to me...
I had completely forgotten how to throw a boomerang- but after a few tries it came back to me. The arc on this flight path is longer and wider than most other boomerangs, but this model is easier to throw and catch than any others I have. Note this doesn't float, so likely not the best choice for the beach. It works best in low/no wind. You may need to flex the wing tips up to increase lift (it is designed to be adjustable).

Super fun, takes time to figure it out
If you've got a kiddo who gets bored easily, this may not be for them. We all love trying to get it to boomerang. My impatient kiddo got bored and tried to use it like a Frisbee. But once you get it, it's not too hard but is super fun. Controlling the throw is tough but it doesn't hurt if you get hit. A fun outdoor play option!

Under the right circumstances, it would be great; but...
The Aerobie is a hip new combination frisbee-boomerang that delivers with respect to neither of the aformentioned. BUT! Hey! That's okay! I bought an Aerobie & it can do all sorts of unique stuff!Yes, that's right! If it's not gliding from one person to another, nor at an angled pitch rounding its way back to the thrower, then that's not an Aerobie! But if you see something flying around that someone just threw, & has vaulted itself seemingly right off the ground to ridiculous heights, becomes stalled out, & is ready to come back down taking an unpredictable dive back toward the thrower (say... up to 90° off to their left or to their the right) & comes flying back down off angle a bit & nails some other person in the head — then you might have just witnessed yourself an Aerobie! In all seriousness though, this thing relies on internal bendable piece of metal that's then fully formed using a fairly dense synthetic rubber — so, it's got some weight to it. And when I said it's unpredictable, that's not an understatement (btw; no one actually got nailed in the head; but I could see it happening). This is actually the second Aerobie I've purchased; the first launched itself into a tree & it was gone after a few people got a chance to give it a throw. And like the 1st, this too fell right onto a tree branch nearly out of reach shortly after pulling out of the packaging...(?)I guess I would conclude, if you have access to an area with zero trees & zero houses, & all eyes are on it whenever it's in flight...then you got a pretty exciting (few) hour(s) watching this thing fly around. Again; the weight makes it so you can snap it out of the hand faster than most frisbees...&, while it doesn't earn the noteriety of the lawn dart from years passed...I imagine this would be unpleasant in its own right getting hit by it after it jackknifes down from 100+ feet in the air. So, I suppose I would generally not recommend the Aerobie.

Works perfect
I love this frisbee for my dog. Very light in weight. And very easy to use.
