Best strat pickups I’ve used
I have used a lot of different strat pick ups in my builds. This one is by far the best. Very clean and articulate it and not too bright or nasally like a lot of Strat pick ups. I put 57/62’s in my previous build and I found that they did sound very stratty but a little thin. From now on, I would use fat 50s in all of my stress..

Awesome Set
WOW, just WOW, I'm truly impressed with these pickups, Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups, what an impressive sound, clean crisp highs and rich warm low end, very responsive and balanced. The low end and high end are well balanced with a less pronounced middle, to sum it up, They Sound Really Freeking Awesome, I Strongly recommend this pickup set if your looking for a more vintage sound with some heat, once again, they are Awesome, thank you.

Amazing sound. Amazing quality. Easy set up.
These pickups sound fantastic. I put them in my 2006 Fender Highway One Stratocaster. If you have even a basic concept of soldering these will be VERY easy to install. The wiring diagram is clearly laid out and easy to understand. As I said earlier, the sound of these is amazing. The neck pickup is nice and thick but not muddy, the middle has that classic chime and the bridge does a very good job of being trebily but not harsh or "ice picky". They really are not that noisy in the single positions. YES they do have a him to them, but its not bad! The middle positions are very him free though. If you want a great authentic sounding stratocaster sound with just a little more balls these are a great choice. My only issue with these pickups is hardly an issue at all because it's so minor. The issue is that the wax that they put on the pickup to stop humming does cover the screw holes that you use to mount the pickups to the pickguard. So before you start trying to screw them on, take a loom at the holes for wax, if there is any just use a small pin or toothpick even and just poke through the hole to clear it out. Enjoy these! They are amazing.

Easy to install
I love these. They improved my Player Strat. I love my guitar now. I'm left handed. I love fender guitars in general. I have the Cobain JagStang from the Nevermind era. I had a customer $2000 Strat from the mod shop. I love them all. This really improved my Strat. This is my Catocaster. I soldered in the pick ups as soon as I got them and my buddy came over to jam. Man it sounded great. I use amp modeling. Personally, I'm done with regular amplifiers. I love Amp modeling and Fender. You will not be disappointed with these if you're a Fender enthusiast. The pickup covers come white. I opted for chrome. My Catocaster purrs.

Great pups!
Wow is all I can saw about these cool pickups! Nice and round is how I would describe them. Meaty but not too thick. Even through the tone spectrum and nice clarity and sparkle when you turn the tone pot all the way up. Attractively packaged - cool wax covered cloth push back wire - easily marked for correct installation. My Strat has never sounded this good - I think I may put these pups in all of my Strats. EDIT 10-23-2012 After using these for a few months I still love them! Great tones and good looks! ********************************************** 09/27/2013 The gift that keeps on giving! I still love these pickups - they just sound awesome. It never fails that I get a compliment on my guitar's tone EVERY NIGHT I play. Awesome. Building a second guitar and these will go in there also.

Absolutely fantastic!
Wow, I am really impressed. I got these for my son's Bullet Squier without expecting much. The original pickups in that guitar were thin and unimpressive, to say at least, and I knew anything I'd throw on it would be an improvement. What a difference the new ones made! The sound is now thicker, juicier, with much more mean and dirty attitude, when playing leads. In the clean channel they have that bell quality, which is what I was after. Clearly pronounced lows and highs, with mids a bit scooped. The single coil hum is very tolerable (and I am sensitive in that area!). Plugged into a Twin Amp this guitar sounds HUGE. I further replaced the tremolo with one that has a true steel block and much more mass. The result: the Bullet Strat now sounds better than my American Deluxe, believe it or not. When I play it, it inspires me to play more... Who would have thought!? Cheers!

Poor Quality + Dead Pickup
First off — the neck pickup sounds great. That’s where the good parts end. A week into owning this pickguard, the bridge pickup was dead. I was troubleshooting for a week and finally took it to a luthier and sure enough both lead wires were broken and it was dead. Even if the pickup didn’t die I would still rate it a 1 star. When you spend this much money on a pickguard — you expect a high quality feel. The controls are terrible. The pickup selector has no ‘snap’ and you must carefully place it in each position. Sloppy. Finally the control knobs are all extremely tight — tighter than they should be and definitely impedes usability. If you were like me and really didn’t want to solder, go for it. But if you have any extra time — just do it on your own and get high quality parts.
