Purchased Shark Rotator NV501 in 2015.I am quite happy with the vacuum cleaner, its design, handling, and overall performance.One day in 2018 the brush stopped spinning.1. the suction motor would come on when I hit the main power switch.2. the green light under the top canister Brush-Roll switch cap would come on when I pressed it.3. the white led’s (headlights) on the beater brush assembly would light up.But, the following did not work…A. the brush would not spin when I lowered the handleB. the Green Brushroll indicator light (LED) on the lower beater brush assembly would not light upI sent an email to Shark and have not received any response. I called the customer support to inquire about the warranty repair of the vacuum cleaner.I was told that the there is a limited warranty and I have to send the entire lower part of the cleaner to them and the cost of the repair would be about $80 plus $20 shipping and handling.I "Goggled" Shark repairs and with the great explanation from SilverFoxDonBlog and YouTube video from Tech Angel I was able to determine that there is a faulty micro switch that activates the “Brushroll” Green indicator light (on the lower beater brush assembly) AND the beater brush motor when you lower the Vacuum handle.I found the micro switch KW4-3Z-3 on Amazon for cost of $5.59 for 5 of them.Received, installed one and the vacuum cleaner operates as new.The micro switch and the Amazon delivery was great. The Shark customer service/warranty not so!

Price was great. Hooked it up. Had to soldier it. Worked great. Only needed 1, but 6 came in the pack. Got my shark vacuum working again. Love my vacuum, didn't won't get rid of it. It's about 6 years old and this was my first problem with it.

I used these on a consulting project. They were relatively inexpensive and were well made.

Switch worked great! Much cheaper on Amazon than other places. Check youtube for videos on how to replace.

This is a perfect replacement for the shark rotator, just know it has to be soldered onto switch its not a clip on, easy enough to do as long as you have the equipment to solder,, switch works perfectly
