Strong sturdy and easy to use
I had been looking for a cupcake stand and took a chance on this one. I love the versatility of it; it's so much more than a cupcake stand! For it's first use we left off the top tier and used the 2nd tier as a cake base for a 10 inch cake. There were 48 cupcakes on the remaining 3 tiers with a lot of room left. I could easily have held 60. We had at least as many comments on the stand as the on the display. It looks great, cleans easily stores flat, easy to put together and take apart, although I did leave the stickers on to identify the pieces and I did save the instructions. (no one noticed the stickers). The storage bag is great, it stores flat against the wall in the pantry and takes up no space. SO glad we bought this. An investment piece we will use for years. I tried to add a photo but there is no button for that. Maybe someone can tell me how to do that!

I Love This!!!
I really do love this stand. I got the pro so I could have many different options for setting this up. The less expensive stand seems like it would be difficult to move after it is filled but the pro easily can be moved around as the tiers are individually interlocking. As far as setting up, it only took me a few minutes and I didn’t need to use a rubber mallet until the top two tiers (although I would do it prior to the event). I read other folks saying they had dark spots left on the stand from the mallet but a great tip is to just put a clean white sock or cloth over the end of the mallet to protect the parts. That’s a trick I always use with mallets. The stand has 1/4” tiers that make it easy to decorate the edges with trims. That adds a beautiful finishing touch. The stand is very sturdy but very lightweight and I have found to be easy to clean. I had larger deserts on mine (4” loaf & 5” torte cups) rather than the standard cupcakes and all in all I was still able to put 50 pieces on it at a time. I also recommend getting an inexpensive plastic white lazy susan to put on the bottom if it is on a table with access to only one side. That worked wonderfully for me. I used a lightweight 18” one that I stuck right under the bottom tier with 1/4” double sided tape to make sure it stayed centered and was able to move the stand without the lazy susan falling off. This made it easy to refresh the stand throughout the event and let guests choose easily from the different deserts. Another thing is you can add tiers if you go directly to the company’s website. I will be doing that in the future. One small negative was that I did have some spots on one of my pieces when it arrived but the customer service from The Smart Baker is top notch! They were very attentive to the problem. They answered my emails quickly and fixed the issue with lightning speed.

FANTASTIC, sturdy, easy to assemble, recommend a lazy susan to use with it.
Being used for my daughter's wedding reception. Not difficult to assemble for me. Did use a rubber mallet but didn't even need that most of the time. Very sturdy and lovely. However, since it is going to be on a table that is accessible from only one side, I decided to change it up a little. I have a 14" wooden lazy susan. I put a cheap "crystal" plastic platter, used ticky-tack hold it firmly IN THE CENTER of the lazy susan. Then I put one of those paper doilys on top of that, ticky-tacked that to the center of the platter, used a ruler to find the exact center of the doily and put the cupcake tower on that. All of that centering and ticky-tack makes sure that it doesn't move and end up turning all wobbly out of balance. I then put a cheap swedish ivy garland piece on the platter, just under the bottom layer of the cupcake tower and draped it a little hanging down and it looks beautiful, simple like my little girl would like. Amazon has some cheap lazy susans and I highly recommend using one. Makes it looks much more classy, spectacular, and gently turns so that people can pick what they want. I might also add that I can pick up the tray off the lazy susan and move the cupcake holder much easier but I only suggest doing this if you absolutely MUST move it.

Easy to Put Together? I do not think that means what you think it means.........
Let me start off by saying PLEASE do not wait until the day of the event to put this things together. Read on......So I purchased this to use as a cupcake stand for my wedding. I was drawn to it by the reviews of it's stability and the fact that it is collapsable. When I received it, I was happy to see that it came with a nice carrying bag. Suddenly my visions on the wedding day cupcake tree turned into me using this for baby showers, charity events and block parties. I could picture myself toting this around, setting it up with ease and being the envy of the book club cookie party.Rewinding back to reality - I feel like I got in a fight with a raccoon. I am tired, bruised, my nails are chipped and my hands are bleeding. This stand is TERRIBLY difficult to put together. During my battle with it, I couldn't stop thinking of all of the poor souls who waited until the last minute to set this up. I consider myself a seasoned "assembly required" kind of girl. I have put together bikes, shelves, appliances and countless pieces of furniture and this hands down is the most difficult thing I've put together. In the instructions, it recommends using a rubber mallet. It should say "rubber mallet required." Is it sturdy? Heck yah! So sturdy that once it broke my rubber mallet, I had to resort to sitting on it to make the pieces go together. After various yoga moves on it, lots of profanities and several minor injuries. I have won my battle with the cupcake stand. I am now sitting back and enjoying the fruits of my labor and I have to say "this thing is great!" Much like child birth, I have already forgotten what a horrifying experience that was and I now have a great looking stand.Lucky for me, my reception is close driving distance so I have decided to keep it assembled until the wedding. I think putting this together again may make me lose my taste for cupcakes. Other reviewers have said it gets easier with time to put this together. I am not willing to take that risk yet. Perhaps after the wedding when I have lowered my life standards and can accept things being "easier with time...." I will have another go at it.
