Live Weevils in Product
Oh my word. Having had Melissa and Doug items previously I was left absolutely horrified by this item. We opened it in my little boys bedroom and wondered why sawdust came out too. On inspection there were live weevils in the wood which were now crawling around in the carpet. My son's bedroom was full of wooden furniture and we were also worried about the floor boards and eaves. So i spent the next hour vacuuming to make sure they were gone. I reported this directly to Melissa and Doug who's reaction was poor to say the least. We had to chase them to get a response and provided them with photographic evidence and kept the item in the greenhouse in case they wanted us to send it to them. Were they bothered? Not in the least. Offered for me to choose another product to the same value. For a £5 product, no thank you! I wanted it investigating but they obviously didn't feel the need.Aside from the weevils, the product was really badly made and nothing lined up where it should have.I shall be sticking to plastic products from now on which is a shame. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Lovely toy for developing dexterity and logic
We were lent one of these by a childminder and baby loves it so much that I had to buy her one of her own! She’s starting to make connections between where the shapes and colours line up, and where the blocks should go (I mean … she still needs a little help to actually slot the blocks through the holes but that’s fine, she’s 13 months). This shape sorter is a definite favourite and I’d recommend it for anyone with a curious and busy little baby. And yes, it’s tough enough to stand up to gnawing as well as general use.

Excellent development toy for 12-15 months old
Excellent concept to help little ones with colours and shapes. My 13 month firstly just enjoyed putting the shapes in the top and after a month had mastered all the shapes in the right places. He still enjoys it and is helping him understand shapes too. Highly recommend, hours of entertainment!

Best shape sorter I've owned
Bought for my 18 month old a while back and it's far better than plastic shape sorters we've had with our others. My daughter loves this one, it's sturdy and easy to use and now she does it easily she's 2 now, we need a more challenging one! The paint has never chipped off either. Would highly recommend!
