I have used SunSaver products for twenty years on small scale year-round solar camps, on solar panels mounted top of my truck, and elsewhere. They are solid products. And their PWM charging methods regenerate older "winter worn" / "generator worn" batteries when the days get longer in spring and there is enough sunlight to attain deep charge again. Well worth the price!Forget those cheap little plastic LCD screen things, I found those cheapies don't last but a few years at most, and don't do the float charge properly, so boil off the sulfuric acid solution, markedly shortening battery life and causing corrosion in your battery box. What you spend on a good charger will save you several times that on battery costs! Cheapies are cheap because they are Crap. SunSaver products WORK!Do note that with the mode switches, this product needs to be kept dry. There are other SunSaver products which I have used that can be exposed to condensation and even rain runoff with no damage other than some corrosion and electrolysis of the terminals. (One of my newbe mistakes in 2002. That charger survived outside for seven years, before the Summit Fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains wiped out everything where I was living.) For best results, read up on how to treat your batteries, as they are the weakest link and shortest life components in any solar system. SunSaver products markedly extended my battery life! Well worth the price!

I use this to keep the cranking and Trolling motor batteries charged. I always liked Morningstar solar products. Work great and give long life.They need to get there com loops into the 21st century though. MSview is tough to work with.

Seems well made and comes with good instructions. Have not installed yet.
