Katz gluten free personal cherry pie was delicious but the crust was very brittle and thin. Still enjoyed it.

Update 7/3/15* So after my claim was sent, Katz response was more than what I expected. They refunded order and will be sending out another shipment as well! So I changed my rating back up. As I have said, the products taste very good. Was just disappointed in this circumstance but they have more than made up for it! Funny that my review seems to have disappeared when I told customer service I would be changing due to the horrible customer service I experienced. They were selling these as 11.5 ounce pies when I purchased ten of them. I only received these 8.25 ounce pies and they were only 1/3 filled with pumpkin. In their email response, they cannot fill them all the way to look like the picture otherwise they would run all over. So paying me back for the missing box of donuts on this order is the only customer service they gave me. It's too bad too, because the pies taste good but you are tasting mostly crust. So I will post the email conversation here as well as reporting them to Amazon. Hi this is about the pies. The donuts so far are very good. We had a pie the next day and then one tonight. As you can see from the pictures, they barely have any pumpkin in them. When I went to review and post the pictures I noticed the order says 11.5 ounce. The ones I received are 8.25. Picture included as well. The pies still tasted good but needed much more pumpkin in them. There was no pumpkin in the wrapper so it didn't run off the pie, just ran to one side and extremely flat. As for the 11.5 oz. pies, we thank you for bringing this our attention since it was by mistake put up this amount of oz. as we don’t make them for a long time now, we only do the 8.25 oz. (Our technician will update it now to make it easier for other customers) In addition, we truly apologize for the missing pumpkin pie. We did have a hectic time in the past few weeks and the shipping guys probably missed it on the invoice. Kind regards, Faigy Katz Gluten Free Ok, well since this is all you are going to do to satisfy the customer on complete false advertising by just giving me $2.09 back, I will have to change my review by adding this whole conversation before I file a report/claim with Amazon with these facts. Claim, 11.05 ounce pies, pictured filled to top with pumpkin. I received 10 pies that were 8.25 ounces and only filled 1/3 of the way. That is a product loss of 32.5 ounces on the 11.5 ounce pies and since they were only 1/3 full, another 50 plus ounces on filling. So I lost out on over 82 ounces of product I should have received and only got refunded for the missing donut box. This was ("IS") the WORST Cherry Pie I have EVER Eaten - Not ONLY did the package come damaged, BUT - I cooked according to instructions and this pie TASTED AWFUL !!! ALMOST NO FILLING !! I am a Connoisseur of Very Good Cherry pies - and this pie is AGAIN - THE WORST CHERRY PIE I HAVE EVER EATEN - DO NOT BUY - Not Only was the pie TERRIBLE but The SIPPING PRICE was TWICE the price of the PIE - DO NOT BUY !!! tHHIS PIE IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF !!! Thanks for nothing - I called to get my $$$ back - they are Closed for the week !?!

My husband and I split a Katz blueberry pie. We both agreed the pie filling is not too sweet and tastes very good. But I honestly didn't care for the crust. It tastes too heavy for my liking. So I ate just the filling and threw the crust away. My husband ate the crust and got a stomach ache. The pie looked like a frozen pie that's been banged up a bit; not something you serve to impress :-) But I do appreciate that there are companies attempting to make gluten-free pies. It does hit the spot if you need gluten free and are craving pie.

I will be waiting for pie season to come around next year - because now I’m not left out as a gluten free person. I too can eat pie! These are delicious - absolutely delicious. I ordered online after discovering these in the freezer section during holiday, and could no longer find them, they may be a seasonal item. The crust is flaky and cooks up well in the oven and the filing is spot on - not overly sweetened. Just plain tasty overall. I have been missing pie sooo much.

I love ordering these gluten free Items, especially for holidays. I keep them in the freezer and I’m ready to go. Great tasting, and everybody in my family enjoys them, especially the grandkids, who also have food allergies. The company has good customer service. Do be careful and make sure you are ordering the quantity you want or you just might be ordering a small quantity for a large amount of money. They regularly have specials on the products as well as free shipping specials. This is when I stock up.

It was on the road over two weeks and by the time Fed Ex delivered it the package was still closed but they must have pitched it around and it was all broken up.

Holy cats!!! Or should I say, Holy Katz?!! In my experience, gluten-free products are very hit-or-miss -- and more often than not, they're a disappointing "miss." But this pumpkin pie is fabulous, and it made my Thanksgiving SO happy. Why? Because it tastes like traditional pumpkin pie! There's no odd textures, no off flavors. In fact, the crust is one of the best I've ever had -- sweet, flaky, and not at all gritty or dry or any of the other bummers you find with gluten-free pastry. Also, it's a perfect size. I'm the only person in the house who has to eat g-free, so making a full pie for just me is a waste. Definitely ordering another one for Christmas.
