Amazon said this would fit my car and Osram do make good bulbs. However when I fitted a pair of these in place of my halogen rear number plate bulbs in my 2003 Mercedes w220 S500 the problems started immediately.One worked fine but the other just flickered a few times and that was it. Then later that same evening the one that worked brought up a bulb failure warning on my dash! I called my friend who’s a trained Mercedes dealer mechanic and he explained that these Osram LED bulbs are the wrong resistance.I also tried them in my 2006 VW Jetta which is a newer and far less comlex car. Same story.What a waste of time and money.

Very bright, but not what I would call warm white. Not white light, but not warm. I've since replaced with warm light SMD LEDs from China.

WOW! I just installed these LEDriving bulbs in my license plate bulb holders and I cannot believe how much nicer (and pure white) the 4000K light is. The light spread is even (remarkably so for an LED) and the build quality exceeds that of the standard incandescent bulb I replaced.All in all, an expensive but totally worth it lighting upgrade for your car. Good quality light, but would stayed dimly lit even when switched off. Not sure if car or bulb problem but dont have any problem with normal non LED lamp.

Shorter in length than the original 10 watt festoon bulb, but able to bend the end-contacts inwards a bit to suit. Somewhat dimmer than the original, but at only 1 watt won't drain the battery if I leave the doors open! (my interior light unit doesn't have an 'off switch')
