Value for the money.
Great little tubes. Plays music nice and mellow without compromising the highs.

What a difference
I'm not a guy who chases tone through tube swaps. Until now. What a difference. I put these mullards into my Orange Tiny Terror (all 4 tubes were replaced with mullards). The amp woke up and became something very special. The gain section got way creamier, more violin like. Increased sustain. The grind became fuller and more complex. It's a higher gain amp so my expectations of cleans is pretty low, but even the cleans became fuller and more complex.Worth it. Would do it again, in a minute

Good for smoothing out harsh preamp overdrive.
These are really good tubes for taming a harsh sounding amp. Ive got these in both a Blackstar HT20 and a Bugera infinium 20. Tames down and smoothes out harsh or fizzy sounding preamp overdrive well. Very happy so far with Mullard tubes, going to stick with this brand for future use.

Good tubes
Good tubes. Made my Bugera v22hd come alive. If you're want a sweet tone, also put in a pair of mullard power tubes as well. I did and love the Bugera now.

Smooth
This will tame a harsh tube amp. Put in v1 and you now have a very smooth tube amp. Now were ready for a pedal platform. Used this on my marshall origin 50 due to it being very harsh on the ears. Great smooth tube, have had a few months and am finally digging my sound.

Worth the Money
I used these tubes in my Marshall JMP1 preamp....and boy they sound good! Smooth, buttery punch on the overdrive channels, and clear on the clean channels. They also solved a hum problem.

Not a good match for my system
This review is based on my findings regarding the sound of the matched pair Mullard 12AX7/ECC83 tubes. First, let me says that my purchasing experience with VIVA TUBES via Amazon was fantastic. My order arrived early, was well packaged and the tubes listed the test results for matching. With regards to the tubes themselves, I purchased these to do some tube rolling with my Pro-Ject Tube Box S phono preamp. I have no idea what the stock tubes are as they are stamped simply “Pro-Ject”. Adding the tube box really transformed the sound of my system as opposed to the built in phono stage of my receiver. It went from sounding good to fantastic. The sound stage really opened up becoming not just more left to right but, 3 dimensional, open and airy. It’s as if the system is saying to you, pour yourself a nice bourbon on the rocks, sit down, get comfort and just listen. Now for the Mullards. They do have a significantly lower noise floor and the bottom end is strong with nice texture and decay but, that’s where it ends. Mid range on up was as if a blanket were thrown over my speakers with a top end much too rolled off. The open and airy sound was lost and became less 3 dimensional. I will say that if you have an amp and/or speakers that have a shrill and fatiguing high end, such as I find to be the case with most horn type tweeters, these may be the perfect tube for you but, not with a smooth sounding amp and silk dome tweeters such as I have. For now, the Pro-Ject tubes are back in. If I could find a set of tubes with the lower noise floor and bass response of the Mullards with the open airy sound stage of the Pro-Ject tubes, I’d have my perfect sound. Any suggestions?
