Awesome Pump!
The pump is what I always needed for my setup as I needed an adjustable flow. There is nothing wrong with my old pump, but the price and the features prompted me to make this purchase. The pump is quiet and is working as designed.

Great pump so far!
I've been in the saltwater aquarium hobby for over 20 years. I currently have a built in 400 gallon reef aquarium for about the last 6 years. My previous pumps were good and listed as quiet, which they were pretty quiet until I purchased these! I purchased 2, 3170 GPH pumps to run my 400 gallon aquarium, the entire family noticed how much quieter these pumps are! So far for the 2 weeks I've had them I couldn't be happier with the performance especially the quiet performance and the price! Believe me I've dealt with hundreds of pumps/power heads over the last 20 years this one so far is the best I've had!

Failed BUT seller was awsome
So, this pump is a very nice design and worked great. After about a month it started to run then stop, then run then stop. Contacted Amazon, unfortunately the return window had closed, so I contacted the seller. To put it simple the seller was awesome, they immediately offered to replace the damaged pump. I'm hoping I just got a defective one the first time and the replacement won't fail.

What to do when the Controller is damaged?
Excelent pump, quiet operation, very good suction. Now, the problem is what to do if for any reason, the controller is damaged? Mine is stuck on 30% of power and I cannot increase its output anymore. Everytime I increase it more than 30%, the pump shuts off and restarts again after a short while. Is the controller damaged? if it is, where can aI get a new one or how to fix it? Please advise...

Poor QC, Cheap construction, and leaks.
There are many positive reviews from others, perhaps I got a bad unit. The seals between the hose fittings and the pump inlet/outlets just seem terribly designed, both from the perspective of the actual O-Rings and the sealing surfaces of the pump and fittings. There is barely any material on the inlet side for the O-ring to seal against. I found that consistently when tightening down the nut on the inlet fitting, it would basically squeeze the O-ring out of place rendering it completely useless. The outlet O-ring performed better but was still not ideal. After I was finally able to get the inlet to stop leaking with a lot of time, and silicone RTV, the main pump body seal was leaking!Taking apart the pump body I found that the O-ring for that seal seamed damaged and the sealing surface was scratched up as if the technician who built the pump was using a flathead screw driver to install the O-ring and gauged the sealing surfaces.I tried my best to seal the pump body and used more silicone. Eventually it seamed sealed enough but now the issue is the pump was sucking AIR while running now and was extremely loud because of all the bubbles it was pushing through the housing.

Problems with cord
Cord over heated and melted the screw adaptor guide. Almost lost my entire tank due to this malfunction. It is only 2 years old and run at 1/3rd of the max power setting. Who could I contact about getting a new controller

Great pump while it works.
I bought this pump Jun,25,2023.For the first 3 months it worked like a dream. From about that point on it slowly degraded In functionality sometimes even dying out completely but after a few times of turning it off and back on, it would work fine again( still less powerful than when bought) Yesterday after doing a water change I went to turn the pump on and it decided it would no longer work at all.I would look at other options before buying this one.

Great Little Pump
I have been buying aquarium pumps for 50 to 55yrs and I have never been so satisfied with a pump as I am with this one. It works like they said it does and pumps the gph like advertised. It is a small pump and it is terrific. It runs so quiet that for the first few day I had to check it to make sure it was running.

EXELENTE.
Buena potencia, y rendimiento.Solo requiere una buena instalación por parte del usuario. Preferentemente cuidar que este trabajando en una superficie bien nivelada...así todos los motores rinden más.

excellent value
Excellent pump. Quiet and good control. Be aware that you will lose some flow rate with tubing, gravity, etc., so if you're looking for a full 800 GPH flow rate you might want to get a bigger model. Especially since you can turn down the flow rate. The pump's control panel is also very useful for fine tuning the system. Worth the extra cost.Only down side is that it allows for water backflow when paused or turned off, so make sure your sump/reservoir can handle the extra water backing in beforehand. Other higher end pumps will prevent this

1850gph. Good first impression
The media could not be loaded. After 4 days of operationEasy installation, quiet operation, flow on low setting is a bit too much. High setting is huge flow!3/4” hose to 7/8” hole in rock. About 16” risePower consumption:Low- 21watts.High - 52 watts. Video is on low setting, picture is high. For My first fountain, this pump is very nice.Cable from controller to pump could be much longer.
