Nice and thick plastic will not flex.

Solid Flange, If your going to go through a wall the hole saw needs to be 2-7/8-Inch
Its a larger diameter at the mounting lip than it is and the hose end.2-7/8-Inch is nearly perfect hole size to go through a wall, no wiggle room and leaves enough meat to get a decent size screw to catch whatever material its being put through.

More than one use.
A bit of an off-label application. I used it to make a bigger inlet port on a Dustopper. Now I can use 2-1/2" flex tubing between the wet/dry vac and the Dustopper to get a bit more airflow through it.
