Great Saint brick price on it Ian was fully connected but trouble with trying to get it set up and lock

I like it just as well as the Roamio that it replaced. Just so that people are aware, you won’t be able to activate the box through the TiVo website. You will get a message that the TiVo Service Number has already been used so you will have to call TiVo Customer Support to get the box registered to you. I already knew ahead of time that I was going to hate the new TiVo Experience 4 but unfortunately the box will automatically upgrade and you can’t stop the process. The biggest reason I don’t like it is because the new OS uses the grid format for the guide just like every other service in existence. I absolutely very passionately hate the grid style guide.The original TiVo guide format is what set them apart from everyone else. In my opinion the original guide is far superior. Unfortunately, TiVo does not at all make switching back to the old OS easy. But for the people like me who hate the new version, I’ll explain how to get the old version back. 1. go to Settings 2. go to Help 3. go to Reset to Defaults 4. go to Repeat Guided Setup 5. press thumbs down twice, then rewind twice. After doing that, a downgrade dialog box should appear. After downgrading, you will have to repeat the guided setup all over again. Also, the remote will not work in RF mode. RF mode only works with TiVo Experience 4 so I’m very disappointed about that. But I care more about the guide than the remote. Good Luck.

Was hoping this would replace my directv dvr and it does with a couple caveat's. For one thing the picture is not as good as directv. Almost as good on HD signals. SD stations not nearly as good as directv. They have a dark background that I cannot seem to remove, and is kind of blurry sometimes. There was no manual included with this Tivo. Took awhile but found one online. But this thing is more complicated than directv I think it does more like the skip commercials button, but it only works on some shows. Should give it 2 1/2 stars but went with 3 because it is reliable so far.

Great product, and the recondition player is perfect. Yes you have to call or chat with Tivo to register as it is registered to the company that reconditioned it but no big deal took less the 10 min. Great Value would buy again

With registration I am able to stream to ANY computer device on my network. I cab watch LIVE TV or any recorded show anywhere in my home. This is a great device for cord cutters.

Unit arrived in perfect condition in custom-built packaging. It even had like new plastic coverings to peel off. Set up was easy and transferring the paid-up service to me was easy also through TiVo. Image quality is excellent.

We got tired of the lies cable companies told us and price increases. We had an antenna put up and wireless internet with T-Mobile so now we get local news and stream all our favorite channels

I recently convinced my wife that we should cut the cord with Comcast, taking our bill from $172 down to just $60 for Internet only. One of her biggest concerns was losing the ability to record since we seldom watch live TV. My concern was that I didn't want to get roped into a monthly subscription costs which would steadily increase thus putting me right back in the realm of tied to a corporate entity. So I saw these Bolts on sale and decided to take the plunge. My wife is happier than ever! Easy to use, the automatic commercial skip feature is as slick as anything I've ever seen and the guide setup is easy to use. Understand that this becomes your tuner so it will not work with the NexGen broadcast signal coming in a year or less - basically 4K and Dolby 5.1 over the air. I've got a 4K capable TV and frankly don't see any real advantage over 1080 (which is what the Bolt does).Get the inexpensive extended warranty offered by Amazon and you should be protected from failures and problems or your money back. The lifetime subscription is what sells this somewhat outdated product but since most TV's are not NexGen capable at the moment, it doesn't really matter. For the $100+ a month that this product is helping save and, more importantly, my wife's happiness, it's money well spent.
