My 2019 Subaru Forester OEM receiver was not the usual 2 inch receiver. (The newer models are now 2 inch with greater rated load capacity). So this hitch was my only useful option and worked perfectly. "Euro style" refers to this size and shape being common on smaller European cars.

This hitch mount provides a great amount of rise and clearance making towing with a small sedan easy and trouble free. Provides a much better balance to improve handling. Curt quality is awesome!
