The media could not be loaded. Had to make a gluten free cake. It was my first time so I researched the topic a lot. I could not find a suitable recipe so I relied on all the knowledge I gathered and adapted my trusted chocolate sponge recipe to gluten free one.I am a no expert on gluten free topic and cannot compare this gum to other brands, but I can definitely say that this one did the job. In fact It turned out better than my regular sponge.It was soft, moist and crumbly, but not too much. It did hold the shape, was not dense or gummy. My husband tried it and was surprised to know it is gluten free. Did not tell the difference.I might try to use a little less gum and see how the texture comes out the next time. But for a first time gluten free bake, hella proud of myself. I do trust in custom flour+gum combination over the ready to go gluten free flours with gum in it. I believe it gives a better control and also freedom to use more accessible GF flour blends.Recommend.

Works for baking but taste is too strong
I've used it for a baked custard recipe to help with firmness, but it creates a strong metallic taste, I've used 5g for 100g of custard

For my Ninja Creami
Seeing loads of reviews online to use Guar Gum to thicken Ninja Creami recipes... Works amazing, but please watch how much you use or the ice cream comes out like putty! You don't need very much at all, and this jar could last a lifetime.
