Just like the OE ones
I was a worried these ‘Housmile’ filters were going to be rubbish given the price, but they look and feel very similar to the extremely expensive OE ones. Flow through the purifier seems fine and they have the same very slight smell as the real ones when new which is reassuring. Would buy again

Works great
Seems to work just as well as the original filter, cheaper so a win win all round. Always fast delivery from Amazon.

So dense it slows airflow
These replace the OEM/original Blueair sense filters and priced roughly the same. The pack comes with four (4) carbon filters vs two (2) with the OEM filters, but only two are needed. So this pack offers 2 extra carbon filters to swap out and change before changing the main HEPA blocks. What’s different with this Housmile filter is that the HEPA blocks are MUCH denser than the original. I haven’t dissected the block but sounds like they are packed with particulate matter when shaken. On one side it has the traditional HEPA white paper folds, on the other side a black sponge-like cover. I’m assuming there’s some particulate packing in between these two layers. The OEM/Original filter in comparison just comprises the HEPA paper folds. When inserting the Housmile filter into the Blueair sense the airflow is noticeably REDUCED as it is working harder to pass air through the filter and simply can’t given its density. This means CADR performance is drastically reduced with this filter. Yes it may offer high particulate filtering but what’s the point if the Blueair Sense fan simply isn’t strong enough to push air through the device. I’m not convinced this is an upgrade and I’ll likely return to using the OEM/original Blueair Sense recommended filters.Note in the Housmile description it says “[Superior Performance] Has excellent noise control, workmanship, higher capacity and longer filter lifetime without sacrificing blueair sense air purifier and blueair sense+ air purifier performance. The clean air delivery rate(CADR) after replacement is no different from the genuine filter.” - so this last statement is questionable given the fan speed hardly increases on the faster settings with these filters installed. Plus in fitting the blocks you can see the cardboard tags have come loose.

£20 cheaper than the original and does the same job just as well
I obtained the Blue Air purifier nearer the start of the first lockdown to help us improve the air quality in our house, and especially since we live in the middle of a city where the smell and taste of the air is far worse than when I used to live next to a forest. The purifier is excellent and really powerful, but the filter needed to be replaced within six months as it had sucked up so much dust and dirt from the air, that it was turning black.Looking on amazon, it costs £60 for the original filter, yet this one is pretty much the same and does the same job, for £20 less. The build quality and materials are more or less the same and it includes an activated charcoal layer behind the HEPA filter, just like the original. It folds and unfolds exactly the same and seems to be the same in almost every way.I don't know why you would buy the original instead of this. Our purifier is back to 100% capacity cleaning the air in our house and this new filter should last another 6-12 months of regular use.For reference, the photo shows the old original filter and the new one - can you guess which one is which?
