Hawaiian Tropic - Mineral Protection Sunscreen SPF 30 UVA + UVB Protection, 100 ml, Zinc Oxide Filters, Water Resistant, Vegan

I got this sunscreen specifically because I have dyed hair with extensions, and some sunscreens can interact with the color or even damage the bonds. This one doesn’t cause any issues with that at all, which is a huge plus for me. As a mineral sunscreen, it does leave a white cast, but that’s to be expected, especially for body products. The texture is rich and nourishing enough that I often skip body lotion when I use it. It spreads easily and you don’t need much, so the tube lasts a while. One thing to note is that I can still feel it sitting on my skin hours later. It’s definitely on the greasy side, which might not be ideal in a city setting, but it makes sense if you’re using it on the beach or poolside. At least it shows that it sticks well and offers lasting protection. I burn like a lobster, and SPF 30 has worked well for me with this. The scent is fine, nothing luxurious, but totally acceptable for a sunscreen. And the price is great for what you’re getting. It’s a solid, affordable mineral option that I’ll likely repurchase, even over some more expensive brands, because it just works.

Like most non toxic SPF it is a bit thicker/chalkier texture but still pleasant to apply. Smells decent. Took a star off cos it did make my skin feel a bit dry. You do have to reapply every 2-3 hours and after being in water. Better than covering my skin with the toxic c@ncer causing chemicals that's in regular sunscreen though and I put lots of Aloe Vera on after which helped. If you want to build up your natural sun screen, sit for 15 mins in the morning sunshine with no sunglasses (don't stare directly at the sun) Your body will make more melanin naturally and you will be less likely to burn. But obviously be sensible and only 10-15 mins in the AM 😎 sun is not bad for you in small doses...

Great suncream! Initial application it looks a little white but once rubbed in it’s absolutely fine. Love the scent. Wish it came in larger bottle.

I ordered this by mistake and only decided to keep it as it is mineral sunscreen for the face which I've already had three different ones at home. Yesterday I decided to use it for the first time and only then realised the bottle was half empty (as visible in the picture). So not sure if that is the way it is packed or it was used by someone before me. It didn't come in the box or seal. Smells lovely though.

Has NANO a VERY controversial ingredient. (No pics of ingredients right so not till bought !!) Itll be hard to find the info on this subject, like need to go as usual to likes of BRAVE search engine. Find the bits in things like BBC reportage about the fact they are getting around this by doing things like not studying it. This is a ticking, you know what, for health. (In case that word triggers an algorithm). And after the last five years, it behoved us to do a lot of research on what we put in and on us. Felt really sly to me it just happened to have NO photos of ingredients and the AI don’t have the answer, nor listed ingredients. I used to use the Aloe Pura brand, but they add it now as do most except v expensive stuff 50 a small bottle. Rule of thumb seems to be if it has zinc “and no white cast” it’s nano. Their other brand is ok, no nano but far from perfect. Can someone pls make something non toxic pls and affordable, hallo Hawain Tropic ?? I’m returning this straight away.

I bought this as I was looking a more chemical free alternative sun cream. It doesn't penetrate the skin therefore sits on top, so for that reason I find it hard to blend. It's less oily than your average sun cream. Happy overall with this.

Poor delivery/packaging from Amazon but great product. I've ordered three bottles over two orders, and only one bottle came with a lid/cap meaning only one could be put into luggage without risk of leaking as the pump doesn't lock closed. The lotion itself is great. It applies easily, typically quite thick as a good mineral based sun lotion should be. Yes it can leave a white sheen but thats the mineral part that you're paying for with this product and what gives the protection. The tropical flower and fruit smell is a great alternative the usual coconut fragrance of so many suncare products
