I train K-9 units for a living. I help with the transition from work to home for retired K-9s as well, military or local enforcement. My primary unit, who is a Stafford shire Terrier, 11 years old and jut hasnt been himself over the past 4 months. constant mood issues, always sleeping, unmotivated to even go out side, very challenging to get to go to the bathroom, could take up to 40 minutes which is really unnatural for him. For myself, I had issues all my life with low mood and energy, constant daily painful issues with my gut, and lack of motivation for nearly 40 years. This was 2 years ago when I made a complete change in my eating habits and started down the path of Zero carb. within the first few weeks, the changes were tremendous. No more daily pain, I started to get my motivation back, I wanted to do things in life, I didnt find things to be a chore or unenjoyable, and the longer this went on the better I felt. Now 2 years later, I havent had anymore pain during stomach and bowel movements or eat, I absolutely LOVE life, and am full of positive energy that In do my best to spread around to everyone on a daily basis. THIS is the exact transformation My K-9 unit experienced in these past 8 days. He is like he was reborn into a puppy again. No more pain, or sleeping around all day b/c hes in pain, super happy and mentally excited to go out and perform tricks and work. Its a life changing experience for him and Me. This food is damn expensive, but you know what... Not only do I need to feed him half as less as the "other mainstream " food, but the change in him is worth every penny. and he goes to the bathroom easily now. Hes approaching 12 years old , and Visionary's Low carb High protein, high fat Dog food, has been the Cure that quite literally, made him a puppy again.

I purchased this food after reading a recommendation from a reputable web site dedicated to low carb Keto style solutions for overweight dogs. I mean Keto worked for me, so why not my dog. My 13 year old Beagle had put on some weight, partly due to her having some hip problems and not walking as much and partly due to my inability to not feed her off my plate. But I needed to do something cause the more she gained weight the less mobile she became and the less she wanted to walk. Sort of a cyclical thing and I needed to break the cycle. My local pet store did not have this food or any low carb choices for that matter - which was a bit of a surprise, so Amazon to the rescue. I have had her on a diet of this food and a little boiled chicken, with no food off my plate, for about a month now and I can see her slowly losing weight. At first she only ate the chicken and after realizing there were no treats in her future, would circle back later and eat the dog food. So I added a little warm water to the mix and she started to get a little more agreeable to the change. That is not to say she does not like the new dog food - she did the same thing with her old food. It just took some time for her to realize there were no other options coming. And it is sort of nice, if I am being honest, not to have her begging for food when I eat now. The good news is she is starting to sport an actual waistline now. She is definitely more mobile but still has some issues walking so I am getting her on a glucosamine supplement here soon too. However, I do not intend to keep her on this food indefinitely due to the price. I will probably get one more bag and then put her back on another quality senior dog food I can get locally. My dog likes the trips we make to the pet store so I don't want to deny her that simple pleasure. And now that we have established better habits, there is no need to keep her on a Keto style diet. In the end I can definitely recommend this food to anyone with a senior dog that needs to lose some weight. Or any adult dog for that matter. And if you don't mind the price tag it's a good all around dog food.

I purchased Visionary Pet Keto dog food after doing a ton of research regarding dry dog food on the market. I checked w/ my Vet & this sounded perfect because she has no LIVER/health issues.. My Shorkie does have food allergies to many of the carbs (rice, chickpeas, potatoes,etc...) I decided to try this food, not so she'd be on a 'keto' diet but rather just super low carb diet. She devoured it! She's had dry dog food in the past, i always ended up using a topper to mix in so she'd eat- not Visionary! She ate her entire bowl, licking it clean:) 🐾 I was surprised & happy. Her skin issues & itchiness have improved greatly and her hair is beautiful & not greasy. I highly recommend this dogfood but ask your vet. The only issue is the size of the kibble if you have a toy/small breed pup... It's large nuggets & harder than normal so I've been having to smash the food so that she can eat it (12yrs old & is missing 2 teeth:) I make my own topper w/ ground turkey or lamb. Super nice seller. I had questions & they were very professional & prompt with their response. Shipping was fast & easy. Visionary helps dogs in needs - paying it forward is essential, especially now. This food was perfect for helping me figure out what my pup was allergiv too & an excellent low carb option (there's not too many out there for dogs! 🐕 ) Highly recommend. I waited too long & tried to use a SUPER EXPENSIVE TOP RATED brand from my neighbor and my baby wasn't having it. She loves this food like no other.

My dog has been on this food since their cancer post-surgery. It is the only Keto dog food I could find in Canada without going on a raw diet. 5 months later and due to Avian flu, the food is no longer being produced for several months at least it seems, due to egg cost. Very sad to see and now have to somehow get another keto source. Your other option is Ketona, however, they also only deliver in the USA or you're paying $340CAD for a 24lb bag. Insane.

They really like this. I find it's dry but that doesn't bother them. I break it up as they are just little dogs and i don't want them to choke.

I thought I was getting a larger bag of the crumbly type of snack which I got before, these are small and hard and my dogs ignore them completely!

I love this and so does my 80lb dog. The pellets are the size of a nickel. They are more dry and dense than some other raw freeze dried foods, so they break up nicely into smaller pieces; making them perfect for training. I also will give them as whole pieces as a super duper treat or when playing search games with him. I love this product! And knowing they are so healthy is even better! I would give it more stars if I could!
