I use this on a central vacuum system (cyclovac). The tool that came with it created way too much suction and I could barely move it on my hardwood floors. While it created a great workout - it was very difficult to use. I bought this in hopes of making my daily vacuuming easier. It works great! The channels that are cut in the brush allow for airflow so the suction pressure is reduced so it is so much easier to use. I was worried that the metal would scratch my hardwood floors (we have ebony floors so they are expensive to replace) - this does not scratch our floors. It does create a noise though with the brush moving across the floor however it does not scratch. The noise is probably slight friction from the bristles against the hardwood. I bought some other tools before this one that were all plastic - they did not last long and broke. This one has held up very well and I think it will last a long time as it is more sturdy than other floor tools. The other advantage is that this tool allows for more articulation so you can use it for tight spaces and different angles so it works well between furniture and stairs. Other tools which don’t allow for more articulation makes stairs and in between furniture extremely difficult. I recommend this tool over all other tools.

As my title states, it works! It picks up most debris, but I notice some does not get picked up on carpet even after a couple passes. This will work well for daily cleaning and I appreciate the fact that I don’t have to throw out a vacuum that works otherwise (and contribute waste to an already wasteful planet). I will use this with my Eureka Flash stick vacuum and on my shop vac for deeper cleaning. Can’t beat the price!

I bought this to use as a carpet tool but I am using it for both carpet and floors. The switch from floor to carpet is as simple as a push with your foot. It glides across carpet smoothly while maintaining suction. It fit my Kenmore 200 Series vac hose right out of the box. I didn’t have to use the adapter that came with it.

The attachment works fine on hardwood floors, tile, linoleum, etc. For carpets, though, it's only effective for very if the carpets have a very, very low pile. On rugs and carpets with even a slightly higher pile, it works fine only when you're pushing the attachment *away* from yourself; when you're pulling it back *towards* yourself, the back end of the attachment catches on the carpet, which causes the front end of the attachment to flip upwards, thereby breaking the suction. If you're someone with an incredibly low-pile carpets, or someone who has a higher-pile carpet but doesn't mind the idea of vacuuming only in a forward direction, then lifting the device off of the carpet, pulling it back towards yourself in the air, then putting it back down and vacuuming forward again, then you'll be happy with this device. Anybody else will likely find that using it is a waste a time and energy.

This is the second aftermarket hard floor attachment I have purchased for my Eureka Wind Tunnel canister vac recently. The vacuum itself is good but I do not like the attachments that came with it. This floor attachment actually seems to pick up dirt and dog hair from hard floors. It does require an adapter for use on my vacuum, but it came with an adapter as well as a brush for cleaning it. I am almost afraid to recommend any part of any vacuum cleaner, but I feel safe saying that this attachment works well for me.

This attachment fits perfectly (with the included adaptor) on my Shark Ion F80 cordless vacuum. It is wonderful! I have mostly hard floors in my house and I dislike the motorized head that came with my vacuum because it is rather bulky and the wheels bug me on the hard floors. This attachment works so well to get my hard floors clean! It swivels really nicely and is at a good angle from the handle which is comfortable to push around. Also, putting the brush up and using the smooth setting works so well on my flimsy woven cotton rugs that other vacuum attachments have a lot of trouble with. Plus it was such a good price. I’d give this fifty stars! (I was not compensated for this review in any way, I just really love clean floors haha)
